Malmö should be so proud that real bagels have finally come to Sweden, and that it's happened here! Everything here is the best quality- honestly these bags are better than I remember them being in the US when I was growing up. They are so fluffy and flavorful! And the schmears- they are on another level.

Don't miss out on the deserts either. This is how the best of classic American food tastes and it has been such a pleasure to introduce my partner to them and give him the experience of authentic, homemade American classics like pecan pie, white and black cookies, chocolate chip cookies.

The interior is cozy, the staff are incredibly friendly and lovely people, the food is incredible. I'm so happy that Chef Mama has opened and I'm looking forward to it being a true Malmö institution.

Note: To the people complaining about the price- I mean I really don't understand what you want. These prices reflect pretty standard American prices for bagels in a large city, and even so comparing them to something like Canadian dollars doesn't make sense. You're in a different country my dude. Hammering on a independently run brand new small business offering gourmet food and homemade bagels in a country where this kind of baked good just doesn't exist is nonsense level rudeness. Plus there's like, an actual war on two countries away. If you're looking for budget prices, review a place that's offering a budget experience! I find the quality and experience more than price worthy at Chef Mama.

Honestly the best bagel I have had in Sweden. The décor is great, modern with some cozy and quirky details in the mix. An overwhelming amount of choices for bagel bread, had the bread with everything on it and loved it. Would have had some fika here as well if I wasnt so full, but there is always next time. Staff was very nice and I got my bagel fast. Several places to sit outside and inside, but I think this place gets crowded during lunch like most good places in Malmö. Wish they were open more often!

It's difficult to find bagels - let alone good bagels - outside of the US, but this place gives me hope. Fresh and delicious bagels, spreads, pastries, sandwiches, and coffee with friendly staff and charming decor. They also sell bagels by the dozen and, my favorite, discounted bags of yesterday's bagels. Highly recommended.

Underwhelming vegetarian options and none vegan. We showed up half an hour after opening and they were already out of the breakfast bagel leaving the veggie option to just one. We thought the bagels were quite small to what we are used to. Also we thought the math is not mathing if a single bagel is 35 SEK but a half dozen of 3 flavors (not the gourmet ones such as everything bagel and sesame) is almost 42 SEK per bagel (250 SEK for 6 bagels). The cookie was very tasty, but also it was more expensive than a single bagel (45 SEK).
The place is rather small and perhaps it’s because it is rather new, there was people ordering making it feel extremely crowded. The staff was great and fast.
We were a bit shocked the bagels were thrown in a bag just like that. Maybe that’s normal procedure 😅
I hope this business flourishes but for us the conclusion was that better order online for the time being.

Had a wonderful service and quick communication with Emily from Chef Mama. Needed to have a delivery to Vaxholm. I was surprised to learn that bakeries in Stockholm refused to deliver to Vaxholm. Fortunately I found Chef Mama and she was all ears. Had a delivery sent the same day and Bagels reached fresh and delicious the next day, 650kms afar. Grateful to have found you. Got some pretty nice feedback as well. Thanks a lot! Highly recommend!
