To be a High End restaurang the table service is crap. The restaurant management missed to recruit professionals for table service. They don’t know how to service a table the right way, how to service an expensive win in right way or  how to clean your table between courses a not to drop cutlery.
There is professional service and there is normal service which you can get in a normal restaurant. But this is to Top end restaurant.
I do not say the services person was unkind. They were super nice, but unknown of the profession this job requires in this kind of restaurant.
The food was great.
But when you spend a substantial amount of money on LUX restaurant you require top tabel service and that is hard to find these days.

The restaurant is beautiful. The service is kind of poor unfortunately, a lot of staff was available but it felt like they didn’t know what to do, multiple waiters came to our table instead of one-two. But they were all very friendly.
The portions are ridiculously small. And the prices are high. If the food was excellent I wouldn’t mind paying that price, but honestly the food is average.
Not coming back for the food, but the drinks are nice.

The place is quite special, the rich decoration and the view on the city, the port, the sea, that’s breathtaking. The cuisine is between good and great, depending on the dish. I didn’t find Italy in my pasta alle vongole, but the lamb shoulder was excellent. I had a good waitress, Melanie, and the service was overall decent, but some members of the staff appeared cold or careless.
Overall, despite some clear strengths, i doubt I’d recommend it because there was no generosity in the experience. The prices were truly ridiculously high (15 euros for the cheapest glass of wine) and it would be fine if the dishes were not so little, so restricted to their little perimeter. I had to pay for everything extra, the little pieces of bred, the side dishes with my main, the dips. At the end it feels like a scam, where the obvious is not met, and i felt victim of a money machine. Not a nice feeling.

Amazing view - but not the Italian experience we expected.

First, we book the day before. And when we arrive the staff says that because we didn’t confirm a payment method by mail, our table is cancelled. Lucky us, they found us a table anyway!

We order the 6 course “meet the Italian”-something. But it wasn’t the quality we hoped.

We can follow the neighbour table who gets everything in the 6 courses also - and because our table is 21:15 and we had the last dishes very late. We just got a very sour lime sorbet wich was not the one the neighbour table has + I wasn’t very Italian or good at all…

No Italian music or vibes, disappointing food and not very serviceminded staff.

After getting the 5 courses, they tell us that it’s actually only 5 courses because the olives and sausages was together……..

Can only recommend because of the view.

Went there with my husband, mum and our 7 months old daughter. We wrote in the booking that we are gonna have a baby with us and the confirmation email came with info that they can provide a high chair. In the reality it wasn’t a high chair but a quite whimsy attachment to the chair. Not suitable for an infant this young. So we ended up having her in our arms the whole evening.
The food was mediocre. We ordered some finger food first- olives were really good, so as bread, the mortadella was sliced quite thick but the taste was ok. The wine we ordered was good. They have a big wine list, so plenty to choose from for different budgets.
The mains were a bit a disappointment. My mum took a fish and it had bones in. My husband took gnocchi and they were fried and not pillowy at all. I took osso buco and while the tastes were there, the consistency of the meat was a disappointment. In my eyes osso buco needs to be soft and fall off the bone. This was not the case, it was a bit tough and there was a big part of thick and tough fat/membranes/inedible tissues that stayed on the plate. It seems like they had rushed the dish and it wasn’t slow cooked for a long time as it is supposed to be.
The venue itself is nice, has a trendy vibe, a view is spectacular and the restaurant itself seems to be family friendly for families with slightly older children. The service was good, the waitress picked up dishes fast (sometimes bit too fast) that helped because the table was quite small for 3 people.
Will we come back? Maybe. But I hope that the food will improve.
