What a great evening we had at Rau. A very cozy and easygoing vegan restaurant in the heart of the city. We opted for the tasting menu, which for 350 sek offers a range of three starters, two main and a dessert. Each dish we had was delicious, with a specific spice profile, texture and combination of flavors. I especially liked the spring roll and the rice-based main. The dessert was a very nice combination of fried banana with coconut ice cream, sesame seeds and peanuts. The only item I didn’t get to try was the dumplings, so I have an excuse to go back a second time!

Hard to find... at first I was about to enter the fully booked neighboring restaurant (also Asian style), but it didn't look like was I was expecting.

It wasn't. Rau is hidden next to this - almost empty, and when you finally find the entrance door, a guy is standing there, holding the door, looking like he has never seen a restaurant guest before almost asking what I am here for. I managed to get in and place my takeaway order, and after 5-10 min, the waiter delivered my order outside the restaurant as agreed on.

When I came home, the food was still very warm and very tasty.

If you do not eat meat and would like to try Asian food in an uncommon, but nice way, I can highly recommend this place

This is my favorite place for lunch in central Malmö. I love their noodle salad. Dinner menu is also really tasty. Staff is very friendly.
