Magnificent display, with great explanations of the ship, it's historical, artistic,  and political context. Our museum guide, Stefano was knowledgeable,  friendly and articulate.
Recommend highly. It was the best part of our visit to Stockholm. It was January,  so very few other visitors.

What a great experience we've had! When we planned to come to Stockholm this was the first place that was recommended to us, and we had no regrets. It was very interesting from the start, as you're welcomed right away by the huge Vasa ship to then continue on its (I believe) three floors of history. It's impressive how most of it is the actual ship from the 1600s, where a lot of the items were salvaged and they're all shown at the museum. One of the craziest parts is definitely the reconstruction of the sailors faces, which they almost look scary for how real they look when seen up close. There are also some interactive games to keep yourself or your kids busy. There's also a chance to have your interactive guide with you, but we haven't tried it. Definitely recommended if you're coming to Sweden!

What an incredible museum! Apart from an astonishing ship that you get to see up close on 7 different levels (🤯🤓), you have lots of exhibits, reading, movies and more to go through.
What’s more, the restaurant in the museum is very nice, has a beautiful view on the harbor and the most delicious glogg (must have!).

Highly recommend.
We spent a 3,5h total here. We took our time and read most of the information. You can make this visit shorter, but really - why would you?

Astonishing exhibition! We really liked that you can go around the ship on multiple floors so we could observe the ship better and feel the size of it. It was also great that the elevation and restoration processes were described very well in an interactive way.

Very nice museum to visit. The vessel is impressive and the restoration work was amazing. The tour is super large due to the amount of detail they have put for every tiny bit of material they found, what makes it somewhat repetitive and over informative.
