The stay was ok. Staff are nice to talk to. There is a local station at the back of the hotel which is very convenient. For the hotel itself:  My mum ripped her jeans on a sharp corner of a low shelve/unit in our room. We let the hotel know for safety reasons. The main food in the restaurant was abysmal. The deserts were good. The hotel offers breakfast to go - if you paid for breakfast and are leaving before they start serving. We picked up our breakfast bag at 4 am which only had one sandwich and one juice in it - for two people. The receptionist was no one to be found of the 24hr desk. We waiter for 20 mins. We then had to get a cab and go.

The hotel is fine, but I won't recommend it when considering Value For Money. There is no breakfast and swimming pool included in the base price of the room. The hotel is located a little far away from the city. The family room was spacious but the air conditioning control could not be kept moderate : either it was too cold or without air circulation.  The restaurant food was good, but there is less option in the menu and was quite pricey.

Having been a long-term SPG and Marriott member with >500 nights of stay, this is the first time I felt that my rights as a customer is not protected, and the unfair treatment of a hotel needs to be reported publicly

Recently I have travelled from Asia to Stockholm for a business trip, and have utilized the laundry service at the hotel, which includes a new pair of trousers bought 2 weeks ago in another trip, that I wore on my flight to Stockholm and has never been in the washing machine until this time at the hotel.

After I have retrieved my clean laundry, which included 2 other pieces for machine wash, and the trousers which I specified to dry clean (as aligned with the washing instructions on the clothing), I realized the trousers have significantly shrunk and smells strongly of the same detergent which were on the other 2 clothing pieces which were machine washed

I immediately reported this to the hotel's front desk, to which the initial reaction, "it is not our problem, we outsourced the laundry to a service provider, I show you, they are just opposite to the road", despite it is only the hotel's icon on the laundry sheet, not the service provider. Only after asking for escalation, my case was finally investigated and taken on by the hotel.

However, before the investigation has been final, and before my check out, the laundry cost was deducted directly from my credit card without an explanation, and although I ask for this cost (only for the trousers which were mishandled) to be removed at check out, until there is a result with the investigation, the front desk staff refused to do so with the reason "I don't have the authority". The check out was 5 days from when the initial incident was reported. It seems to show that the hotel never have in mind to serve the customer justice

For the investigation, I showed the trousers to the front desk manager, who has confirmed the smell of detergent, and we measured together the size of the trousers against which was published on the brand's website to confirm that both the width and length have shrunk by ~5cm. I also offered to show the visa stamp of the country where I bought the trousers from and the time I was there, to illustrate that the trousers were newly bought. Verbally, I understood from the front desk manager that these were sufficient evidence to prove the trousers were mishandled.

To my extreme surprise, three days later and right after my departure from the hotel, I received an email from the hotel's general manager that says "we are unable to confirm if something has been done incorrectly...as per attached that the risk of shrinkage is at your own risk...we will not change our view on this". However, not able to show any records that proved the trousers were indeed handled properly.

This incident has left me baffled and feeling deceived and exploited in a foreign land. What do you do when the truth is glaring in the eyes, but the hotel chooses to go blind just to avoid having to compensate for a pair of damaged trousers?

Perhaps at least this one: to warn future travelers, there are better hotels to go, stay away

I had previously stayed at this hotel with my family and had a wonderful experience, which is why I chose to book here again. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment. The service was very poor, and I was surprised to find out that we had to pay extra for breakfast and the spa none of this was mentioned before.

I arrived exhausted from a long flight and just wanted to rest. Around 11 a.m., I was woken up by a loud knock on the door. I asked them to wait, but before I knew it, two staff members had entered my room while I was still undressed. This was incredibly unprofessional and felt like a complete lack of respect for privacy. There was no clear schedule or communication about cleaning, and it’s shocking they didn’t even check if I had checked out.

I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. It’s truly sad to see how much it has gone downhill. I won’t be coming back!!
