Breakfast is really fantastic, the selection was huge and well sorted. Rooms are clean and kind of cosy. The bathroom was very clean and the dark towels were quite fluffy. All cosmetics are from Rituals, very nice! The location is really great, direct access to Metro is only 50 meters away. A supermarket, some coffee houses and other smaller shopping stores are nearby.

You cannot open the window, so only the AC provides a kind of air. But especially at night, the air was extremely dry. The compact double room is really compact, you can enter the bed only from one side. Not a big deal, but uncommon. Not important, but the TV needs an update and maybe more channels, there were only a few available. No CNN or BBC, only Sky News.

A Disappointing Stay

While the location is a highlight—conveniently close to the city center and right next to a metro exit—the rest of the experience was far below expectations.

The furniture in the rooms is extremely worn, and some rooms have sliding toilet doors positioned directly in front of the bed, offering zero privacy. The bathrooms, whether equipped with a shower or bath, are outdated and poorly maintained—smelly, with poor water resistance, no ventilation, and ancient hair dryers that barely function.

Breakfast had a decent variety of food options, but there was only one coffee machine (beans), leading to long queues every morning. Alternatively, there was instant Nescafé, which was not ideal.

Our first night was particularly frustrating. Despite booking a room on the “quiet” side overlooking a park, a loud karaoke party with heavy bass disrupted the evening. After waiting until 10 PM, we requested a room change. The reception staff was helpful and moved us to another room, but both rooms we stayed in were poorly cleaned, with small beds and sagging mattresses.

The spa was another letdown. Despite selecting a Booking.com option that included a spa fee, we were asked to pay extra to access the sauna, which was limited to 2.5 hours per booking. Furthermore, staff allowed excessive alcohol consumption among visitors, leading to rowdy behavior and a chaotic sauna environment where some individuals even damaged the facilities.

Overall, the experience was highly disappointing. I would not recommend staying here—save your money for a better option elsewhere.

The Clarion is just 50 m from the Skanstull metro station. Perfect for exploring the city.

The Nor Södermalm restaurant has fast service and is good. There is also a vegetarian version of burger/schnitzel, salad was very nice, etc.

⭐️The absolute best thing was the breakfast... there is something for everyone... from sourdough bread to French croissants, whether vegetarian, vegan... for diabetics, the low carb versions... fitness people... the classic breakfast eaters... for children... it was really always super tasty - and there was always enough of everything until the end. ⭐️

The room was good, has underfloor heating... bathroom clean... towels are changed every day. No safe...

The tap water is very good by the way - you don't have to buy bottled water.

Fitness 7/24h in the building... access with room card.

We didn't go to the SPA, it looks small, but OK... plus you can access it directly through the hotel.

I can definitely recommend it with a clear conscience - 🙏🏽

nice welcoming staff and fika which we enjoyed, room is also nice, and spa was also amazing! i was stressed that i lost my phone at spa but spa staff was so helpful and found my phone after all and i was very thankful!

We had an amazing time,the reception helped us a lot and I think one of the girls name was Felicia ,the pool and the room were perfect.Also the breakfast had many options and was super tasty thanks for everything!
