Tonight we had our first Michelin Osusume down at Dashi.

This small venue seats 16 people only, and offers a 11 course tasting Osusume.

Sadly for us we felt too many of the dishes were tasteless, or too salty and similar. Now I never expect to leave a restaurant completely stuffed, but we left starving. The lack of any carbs was to blame.

On the positive, the service was impeccable and every member of the Dashi team was knowledgable about the menu.

One suggestion is to offer a wine pairing, not everyone drinks saka

I would agree with other reviews, the restrooms are down some very narrow and steep stairs, so much so you have to climb down them backwards.

An artwork of presentation and flavor nuances of japanese food, the star is well deserved! Equally impressive is the high level of product knowledge across all of the staff and how they take their time to explain and advice you if you want to know more, it’s an engaging dinner experience which is not yet so common dining out in Stockholm. The restaurant is small and hidden and one can tell the staff is a good team. ps: the way to the restrooms is a fun experience however only suited for those who can climb :)

Simple, industrial interior design. The stairs (almost ladder-like) to the toilet are very steep and is not recommended for drunk people, people with mobility issues and for people with long skirts.

Friendly and casual service. The food was served in perfect speed. Perfect time inbetween the dishes.

The dish was well made and it was clear that the staff had good understanding of japanease cuisine. The dishes felt japanease, but with little twists, that filled the gap I felt I was lacking when I had pure japanease food. I've been to Japan recently, and thus none of the food felt mindblowing, but all was pretty good.

The service was attentive.  We enjoyed sitting at the counter. It was a pleasure seeing how dishes were prepared. Overall, all the dishes were good and the price was reasonable.

Mind-Blowing Omakase type experience with Incredible Sake Pairing

A big thank you Dashi for the incredible service tonight.

I had the pleasure of experiencing a high-level Omakase. Special mention to the Chawanmushi Furikake, which brought back childhood memories of Japanese breakfasts. Everything was so refined, and as someone who doesn’t usually enjoy desserts, I was blown away by all three. The one with whisky foam was simply phenomenal!

+++ I highly recommend opting for the menu with the sake pairing/tasting experience. The sake selection is incredible and pairs perfectly with each dish, completely elevating the entire experience.
