This was my fourth stay at Ett Hem, and each visit reminds me why it’s one of my favorite hotels. From the moment you arrive, you’re embraced by a unique, warm, and refined atmosphere. The attention to decor and style is simply outstanding. Every detail, from the furniture to the artwork, creates an elegant and calming environment.

The comfort is unparalleled, whether in the rooms or the communal areas. It feels like home, but with the luxury of impeccable service. The staff is always welcoming and attentive, anticipating every need, making each stay even more enjoyable.

The breakfasts are another highlight: sumptuous and healthy, offering a wonderful variety of fresh and delicious dishes, perfect for starting the day.

Had an amazing experience at EttHem a few weeks back. This is my parents favorite hotel, and they were gracious enough to book my husband and I a room here for my birthday for 2 nights and it was everything I’d hoped for and more. The staff is kind and well prepared to recommend/tell you about the food and drinks they have. Plus, the can customize basically anything if you ask. Everything is super fresh and they truly go above and beyond to make your stay feel special. On my birthday I came back to my room after roaming Stockholm and had been gifted one of their “signature Bud vases” (calling them this because they were everywhere in the hotel!). The attention to detail is unmatched and it really does feel like you’re at home. The hotel is extremely serene and just a great place to hang out.

I can’t thank the wonderful staff enough and hope to visit again soon!

Staying at a hotel that feels like home immediately piqued my curiosity about this small, 12-room SLH in Stockholm.

When I first stepped into Ett Hem, I almost wondered if I had come to the wrong place. It didn’t resemble a traditional hotel at all—more like a luxurious residence hidden in the heart of Stockholm.

The interior design of the hotel perfectly captured this homely atmosphere. It was understatedly elegant, with a warm and peaceful vibe, achieved through wooden furniture, soft lighting, and a simple Scandinavian layout. It truly felt like being in a private home.

At most hotels, I’ve gotten used to fixed menus and set meal times, but at Ett Hem, none of that applies. The level of flexibility was astonishing. You could choose to dine in any corner of the hotel, and the chef, much like a personal chef at home, would prepare dishes tailored to your preferences, using seasonal ingredients.

When Chef Gustav asked me how I’d like my eggs, I playfully challenged him by requesting Eggs Benedict—a dish you wouldn’t typically find on a standard European breakfast menu without making a special order. Sure enough, Gustav hesitated for a moment but quickly regained his confidence and said, “Of course, it’ll just take a bit of time.” I reassured him, saying that fried eggs would be fine, but he insisted on asking how long I’d be staying, promising to prepare the Eggs Benedict for the next morning if given enough time. True to his word, the next day, I was presented with a perfectly executed Eggs Benedict that rivaled the quality of any top-tier restaurant. This small test really showcased the hotel’s commitment to not only meeting expectations but exceeding them.
