We found this place walking around Gamla Stan and the food turned out to be delicious! I even went back twice during my short trip to Stockholm. I highly recommend the meatballs, the sandwich and the princess cake! The ordering system was a bit confusing but the service was incredibly helpful and kind!

I chose to eat indoors, in the cafe area, which includes some smaller tables and a large communal table.
Beautiful old building with some antique furniture and modern convenience.
There are multiple rooms inside ad well as the outdoor deck in the front.

- outside seating was nice, can experience the pleasant weather and performances/protests in front of the nobel prize museum
- kardemummabulle was chewy and delicious
- smörlock was very crispy and buttery

- was quite busy, and the serving staff were quite overwhelmed
- area for clean and used cups were not clear, almost took a dirty cup to fill my coffee (self-service)
- waited ~10min for the coffee thermos to be refilled (took 3 reminders)

Went in for lunch during a layover on Rick Steve’s recommendation and I’m so glad I did! Daily lunch special was delicious: salmon patty with mashed potatoes and green peas plus salad and bread and coffee (for 15 ish euro!). But the best part was the wonderful waitress who chatted with me about Stockholm and Norway and was just so kind and welcoming. Very appreciated from a solo traveler :)
