Sampling this iconic cake from would-be rivals, we found Gunnarsons to outshine them all by achieving perfect proportions and pairing of each element in a light and airy confection. Nice environment, but the food is unfortunately not up to high standards. Cakes and pastries didn't feel "very fresh" and they were without too much flavour.
Also, extremely overpriced. Not worth it.

It's fettisdag (Shrove Tuesday, or Fat Tuesday) when the buns were eaten at a last celebratory feast before the Christian fasting period !!! And we can get some really great semla at gunnarsons they also have oat semla for vegan / vegetarian people !! This shop is one of the oldest !! & Located in the city area 😁 Do visit opens at 7 am ! They also have a seating arrangement where you can enjoy a cup of coffee and some alone time ☕ Me time in lovely atmosphere

By far, the best place we visited in Stockholm. The ladies were friendly and polite to some silly Americans fawning over the delicious treats and unable to make up their minds. The treats were ALL fantastic, not a single one was bad. I would stop here again in a heartbeat.
