We had an incredible dining experience at Soyokafe last weekend! We went for the tasting menu and the sushi and sashimi were outstanding either way the Chef’s choice of nigiri being top-notch (eel & bluefin tuna!!!) The hamachi and scallops tartar, zucchini roles with wagyu beef and grilled hamachi kama were absolutely delicious! The sake pairing was a real highlight - our waitress expertly introduced each sake, explaining its brewing method and origin, which added a lot to the experience. For those less adventurous (or for children) I’d recommend the dinner plate with maki, nigiri, rice dishes and fried chicken. We finished with a smooth peach umeshu accompanied by matcha ice cream, which is slightly too subtle in flavor for me.. Highly recommend this place for Japanese cuisine!

I like their sushi. The ingredients are so fresh. Next time I would like to try sashimi as well. The dumplings are also good. I just think the dough is quite thick, but the beef inside is still delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is nice.

The sushi rice was overcooked and with too much vinegar, couldn’t taste other things. Karaage was soft as well. The taste was alright. It was not the best sushi experience that I had in Stockholm.

I had the Unigi, the grilled eel with rice. It was really good! The eel was grilled by torch, you can smell it when the chef is cooking the eel, and I can taste the nice smoky flavor combined with the tender eel, the sauce with the eel was also very good! Probably one of the best grilled eel rice I had.

The miso is absolutely terrible, way too salty and it probably is the worst miso I have ever tasted and I tried many. They also charge 10 kr for the toilet which is a massive bummer. The rice based dishes are fine but the fried chicken is excellent. The ice cream is comically small, it tasted good but it’s genuinely like 2 bite size. Overall the atmosphere is the most stand out place of this restaurant, very aesthetically pleasing and chill vibes.
