We couldn’t come to Sweden without trying one of their most famous dishes. We decided on Gastabud as it was recommended by a family memeber.

Since this place doesn’t take bookings, we arrived at 12 noon to secure our table for lunch.

We were welcomed by the lovely staff, who throughout the meal were pleasant and attentive.

The food certainly lived up to the recommendation. We opted for the traditional meatballs and pork cheeks. Both were outstanding.

We would highly recommend this place but come early.

Cozy bistro in the old town. Despite little professional service you can come and try local cuisine.
The tourist bistro and the staff probably do not like tourists. Prices are much higher than in places outside the old town.
Good potatoes served with meatballs, meatballs a little dry, sauce doesn't go with meatballs.

This tiny place with the most hospitable staff serves the tastiest authentic Swedish dishes. The meatballs dish is definitely their signature but everything else seemed super delicious, even the drinks menu. Gästabud is definitely a must-visit when you’re in Stockholm!

Small bistro with excellent traditional Swedish dishes!😋👌 Very friendly staff. We had the entrecôte, meatballs and reindeer. All dishes were very delicious and also the sides (cucumbers, cherry tomatoes) were a real treat. Thank you 🙏 P.S. The apple crumble was very tasty too.

I love it. Considerate employee. She told me the portion is huge and should not order a lot at once since I might not be able to eat all. No reservation which is kind of nice. I did not wait long. Beer is super nice. Food is great. I love everything.
