I visited them on the 9th of Jan to have brunch with a friend. Although I've visited them a couple of times before, this experience was the best I've had. We ordered the Masala Dosa, chicken kothu porotta and chilly idly. These dishes took us back home in the first bite. The portion sizes were great and the food tasted really good as well.
All the dishes were great but a special mention for the Sambhar and red chutney is absolutely necessary. The sambhar is easily comparable to the ones I'm used to having back home. The coconut chutney, although understandably made with dessicated coconut, was also good.
It most definitely is the most authentic and best tasting, unapologetically South Indian food in Stockholm. The servers that day were really nice as well and made sure that we felt at home.

Your or Our food, even far away from India..you served it authentic. No hesitation to say that it is the best south indian food i have tasted so far in EU. I would not want to compare with any other restaurants. My palette is satisfied to the most.

Service was amazing and lovely. I didn't have to say anything about spice levels or something while ordering.
The atmosphere is lively and happening.
Seeing the cost you may think it's on the higher side but quantities are great..you can stop with one item as well.. I mean based on your appetite..

During our recent visit to The South Indian in Stockholm, we had the pleasure of trying their chicken dum biryani and Mysore masala thosai. While the biryani was satisfactory, the highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the Mysore masala thosai. The portion was generous, and the flavours were exceptional, capturing the authentic taste of South Indian cuisine.

We ordered food from this restaurant twice for home delivery, hoping for a better experience the second time, but unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing both times. Here’s a breakdown of our experiences:

First Order:
We ordered Mysore Masala Dosa and Lamb Sukka. While the dishes were pricey, we were hopeful about the quality. However, the sambar was downright ridiculous—far from authentic and lacked any resemblance to South Indian flavors. We thought perhaps the authentic taste was compromised here in Sweden and decided to give it another try.

Second Order:
The second time, we went with Paper Dosa, Fish 65, and Gulab Jamun.
•	The Paper Dosa was overly oily but still eatable.
•	The sambar and chutneys were a disaster. Unlike the first time, when the chutneys and sambar came in separate containers, this time, they were served in one container with half an inch of oil floating on top of the sambar. The coconut chutney was so salty it had to be thrown away, and one of the other chutneys had a strong smell of meat, which was highly off-putting and completely inappropriate.
•	The Fish 65 had a good portion of salmon, but it lacked flavor, and the coating was poorly done.
•	The Gulab Jamun was a joke. We paid 150 SEK for four pieces that bore no resemblance to actual Gulab Jamun—both the texture and taste were disappointing.

Overall, the experience was pathetic, and it has left us reluctant to order anything online from this place again. The pricing is steep, and the quality, taste, and presentation are far below expectations. This was a thoroughly disappointing experience that we cannot recommend.

If you are looking for Authentic South Indian food I would highly recommend to visit this restaurant. Food was great and delicious service was awesome and very fast.

We ordered masala dhosa, Sambhar Vada and rasam rice and everything was beyond perfect.
