Restaurant review only - you cannot beat the location and view, and the fact that the food was delicious was a bonus.  Plan on spending a bit of time just waiting on service and your food, but we thought it was worth it.

As a vegetarian, I would say there were only a few options, but what I had was much better than I believed it would be based on reviews I had read (rather than the asparagus risotto as your entree, I'd put together several small dishes). If you're staying for more than a day, then it might become a problem.

What a lovely lovely place. Everything that is unique and special about the archipelago close to Stockholm with a bit of comfort thrown in. Nature. Walking. Swimming. Sauna. Eating.

What made it special for us was all the young people running the place. They give it a special energy.

We had lunch at the restaurant. The staff was kind and the location is stunning. The food was great but the portion is just way too small. I paid 285 kr. for meatballs and even though they were delicious, I left hungry.

Terrible vegetarian food. It felt like a throwback to 10 years ago when vegetarian alternatives were very much an afterthought. The bread and cheese for breakfast was the best meal of my stay.

I went with work for a summer party as a large group and we informed them that we had a few vegetarians with us but when it came to lunch they had planned to serve meatballs for everyone. The serving staff were great and reacted well when I pointed out the issue and served an asparagus risotto instead. It was completely lacking in protein but it did taste nice. Which is fortunate since they served us the exact same asparagus risotto for dinner. Then for lunch the next day they served a tomato based fish stew for everyone but just left out the fish for the vegetarians. The balance of flavours was so bad that it was almost inedible. If I had made that then I wouldn't serve it. It is painfully obvious that their kitchen staff have no interest in vegetarian cookery and can't cook vegetarian food which to me is such a massive skill gap for a professional chef that I would say that if you can't cook good vegetarian food then you simply can't cook.

A beautiful place in a charming island. It deserves a full week-end and not a day visit. Staff is very welcoming, food is pretty nice.
