Somewhat good selection in this store, but the prices are absolutely ridiculous when you take the quality of the clothing, as well as their being second hand, into consideration. The point of second hand clothing is that it has already been worn, but it is a means of recycling, so how can you expect to sell such clothing at the price of newly sewn and marketed clothing? You get a knitted shirt that will get holes in it for 300 sek — ridiculous.
This is the greediest second hand store in Uppsala and you can find way better all over the city.

As a life-long secondhand lover, Beyond Retro makes me so sad.

Secondhand is all about wasting fewer resources and making sure our old things don't end up in landfills.
It's a beautiful culture of give-and-take where everybody wins.
We can see that in all the other secondhand shops in Uppsala. (Almost all of them being literal charities)

But Beyond Retro is totally profit driven, and their prices are absolutely heartbreaking.
A display of how Capitalism can corrupt even the most wholesome corners of the world.

I recommend going anywhere else.
There are many other secondhand shops in Uppsala, and you'll save SO MUCH money while also knowing the little money you do spend is going to a good cause.

(TL;DR - Man gets overly emotional about secondhand shopping and capitalism. Don't go here lol.)

The employees are so lovely - especially the lady with blonde short hair with blue streaks !! She really hyped up my friends jeans. The clothes come from various different vintage decades. They are interesting and quircky and although it is expensive I feel like some products are worth paying for.

They have a lot of good stuff and the staff were extremely helpful, but the prices are insane(also some items are faulty so I’d double check)!
