Historic hotel. I love the decor. Just be aware that there is no air conditioning in the rooms! As I learned from fellow Swedes , AC isn't common in homes, so it's not a surprise that the hotel rooms don't have it. The common areas in the lobby do have AC. The step up into the bathroom was a bit of a trip hazard. At about 2.5 inches high, I nearly stumbled over it several times.
Breakfast was great! There is an ample selection of food, but you need to walk around the bar area to see everything that's offered.  In addition to the cereals, cheese, and bread you see initially, you'll also find juices, eggs, bacon, and omelettes.  Plus, you can enjoy your breakfast outside the area where it is served. The hotel had the old-school brass keys for the rooms! That was a nice touch that highlighted the historic theme of the hotel. Hotel is across the street from the central train station but you need to use the correct exit out of the train station.

Really nice experience that takes you back to simpler times. Elegantly decorated inside, quiet rooms, free tea and coffee always available and a really great breakfast with lots of Swedish specialities to enjoy.

Would definitely stay here again when next visiting GOT.

Great hotel, but it fell on the room being so loud that the tram-traffic outside woke me up at 4:30. Front desk said that they could possibly downgrade me to a smaller room towards the courtyard. I just feel that I should not have to be downgraded to get a quiet room. Swapped hotels.
Breakfast was great and the room was clean.

Charming family friendly hotel in the heart of Gothenburg. Beautifully decorated spacious rooms with a turn of the century style. We asked to have a room with a bathtub which the hotel accommodated without any trouble. The staff was very kind and helpful. Very good breakfast.

Many thanks to the staff who work at the reception, they are friendly and ready to help. I spent my birthday in this hotel, it was good to sleep on a comfortable bed, quiet. The interior gives you the feeling that you are a queen, there is a lot of history. The breakfast is delicious and varied. I want to come back, because the location is very convenient.
