Had to stand in the bar 5min before the waiter saw me.  Empty restaurant atm.    Happy hour prices.   A beer 49:-   but it was only for 0,25 l.

Metropolitan is located inside Gothenburg Central Station and serves both as a bar and eatery for passengers waiting at the train station. The restaurant appears inviting and is nicely decorated with inspiration from European cities.

Food and drink were ordered at the bar. During the visit, the employee appeared to be not very service-oriented and directly rude. I dared to order an entrecote and a ceasar salad.

The food was served after an acceptable wait and was nicely presented. The meat was properly cooked and appeared tender. The ingredients seemed to be fresh, but neither the entrecote nor the ceasar salad excelled especially in terms of taste.

The prices appeared to be high in relation to what was served and poor service helped to reduce the experience.

I visited the place two weeks later and was also this time met with poor service attitude among the staff, which makes it clear that the restaurant has a challenge in relation to this.

Based on this, I can not recommend the place.

The cashier is really impolite. One of my worst experiences ever. He ignored us twice and took another order and when I complained he shouted and said the food goes before drinks (although I ordered a croissant sandwich too) Then I said the person you took the order first ordered a drink then he said I don’t wanna talk about it and I don’t care you can talk to anyone. There is no manager.

Very cosy place. My favorite coffee shop in Norstan. I really recommend to take a lunch there, it's so tasty and inexpensive. Don't get me started on their bread or sweets. 😊

I worked at Le Pain Français Metropolitan on 26th July (16:00-22:30) and 28th July (12:00-20:00), and I haven’t received a work contract for those two days. I was not paid either. I sent an email to the HR department on 21st August and they still didn’t answer to this email. It gives me a really bad impression about this business. As a customer, I would avoid going to a restaurant where they don’t pay their staff. 😟
