Welcome to the 1970s! The outside of this building and the ground floor are modern and nice but the rooms? Not so much. The room my wife and I are stuck in is dirty and old. It looks like the last updates were in the 1970s. The walls are dingy and stained. The bathroom is dirty and has what appears to have either thick dust or mold. I am pretty shocked that Scandic would allow a property to be rented in this condition. Very disappointing!

Avery modern Hotel That belongs to a well-known chain.

The rooms are well appointed. Of a medium size but of good quality.

They Were clean. and quite relaxing.

Alas no coffee maker, bottles water So basically, you've got the room plus the toiletries. No mini bar. No view from the windows to speak of apart from neighboring buildings.

But the internal of the hotel was fine with a very nice Atrium and restaurant.

Our rate included breakfast, which was a very good buffet and the service was very good.

Our rate was not expensive and the location is really good with easy transportation outside.

I can recommend with the above caveats.

There is a shopping complex just a five minute walk away where the Central Railway Station and Bus Station is located.

It has restaurants, Bars, shops and a Lidl supermarket. So easy to buy things to add to your stay enjoyment.

Oldish decor and standing, need for renovation. Also parking option is very small with 6 broken down ev charging stations. So effectively no charging option. In 2024.

We arrive some hours before check in, so we asked for early check in and they didnt let us in the begging, later on after some hours they told us that we could check in early with extra payment .

The room looked lovely, everything was cleaned, we had a problem with the AC, and due to my asthma i couldnt breath since it was hot so we had to open the window. Also the bathroom would have a very weird smell. Everything else was lovely.

We had booked breakfast. Their system works that you have to use the QR code and book the time you will attend, simple enough. The breakfast itself isnt big but the breakfast area sure is lovely. Unfortunately when it comes to food its very limited selection and bad quality. To be fair the sausages and croissants along with cupcakes were the only edible thing for me. Everything else i wouldnt eat or spitted it out unfortunately.

The staff is very lovely and helped us out a lot tho.

Enjoyed staying at the Scandic Crown hotel - Göteborgs. Welcoming staff, comfortable lounge and relaxing room. The hotel is close to Göteborgs konstmuseum (Gothenburg Museum of Art) and the City Avenue. Breakfast was nutritious, amazing and delicious. Football table at entertainment section, was challenging to win a game with my son, the score was 10 - 2 to son, but had a great laugh together. Parking at hotel must be booked in advance to avoid parking outside and get a parking ticket.
