Nice and quiet hotel. We enjoyed the seaside sauna, outdoor pool, and swimming in the sea. The view from spa is spectacular. Staff are really professional and friendly. Restaurant is nice with calming ambience and the dinner was tasty. The breakfast food is good, with lots of options.

More potential than utilized.

Awesome location. Good restaurant and staff there .

The rooms and the building are in need of maintenance. While it does have new furniture, the structure of the building is noticeably old. The shower has mold, the rooms are small and warm, there’s no coffee in the room, and no daily room service.

The Spa was absolutely disgusting with dirty water filled with human dead skin. I guess the filter is not working.

Also, toothpaste is not included in the room. You have to buy toothpaste, which I have never experienced before efter in alot cheaper hotels.

Otherwise the receptionist was nice and friendly and the views are spectacular. The hotel is average worldwide wise but below average for swedish standards.

Room was great. We had the gullmarssuite and it was really spacious and with a great view over the fjord.

Food and service at the restaurant was also great. Staff there was really class A.

First welcome in the front desk was also really good.

Things that could be better: The spa section gets a bit to crowded and it could be more variety in the pools. For instance the coldplunge cold be a little colder than a mere 11 degrees celsius and the hot pools could be hotter:)

Also cleaning could improve. Found some hairs that did not belong to us in the bath. It was also quite hard to reach the reception via telephone.

Would I visit again? Probably..

Would i recomend it? Maybe..

We found VANN to be a solid spa and hotel experience with room for improvements. The breakfast buffet and the location are top-notch though!

Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the cleanliness in the spa: You could see a so many floating particles (skin?) in the flower pool. And there's a lof of limescale on glasses and dark tiles. Furthermore, the wooden bench of the Fjordbastu is partially broken, damaged and there's a lot of wood splinter lying around. It almost looked like a beaver nibbled on the wood in there.

Our standard double room had a bit of an old smell (room 128) to it and we would have loved to have a proper double-bed and not two joined twin beds.

Also, a lot of information can't be found on their website: Towels als slippers are included for hotel guests; it's a non-textile-free sauna.

While the location and food are great and the spa is a solid experience in general, we'd have felt more comfy there if the above-mentioned points would be fixed.
