I loved this hotel, completely new, the bed is really comfortable, the bedroom with good size, the spa is perfect to enjoy after work, or other activities. The hotel is a little outside of the city but that was OK because was really calm and with out noise. Really clean everything! The service was always really nice and warm. The breakfast was unique, fruit, vegetables, everything was fresh, really big buffet. They didn't miss nothing. You will be happy and satisfied! Thank you so much, I feel happy, relaxed and satisfied 👍

Excellent food and service. The breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had and everyone in the personnel were friendly.

I was slightly disappointed with the room and the view. I payed extra for a room on the upper floors (13), but the room itself was nothing special and the position of the hotel relative to Karlatornet makes it so that it is very difficult to get a room with any kind of nice view.

The spa was fine. It only had one small pool though. It would have benefited a lot from having a jacuzzi.

I recently stayed at the Clarion Karlatornet in Gothenburg for three nights, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience. The hotel is connected to the Karlatornet tower, offering rooms both within the tower itself and in a separate hotel building. We stayed on the 15th floor of the hotel building, where our double room provided a stunning view of Ramberget.

As is typical with Strawberry hotels, the staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. The hotel is brand new, featuring a sleek, modern design throughout. Our room was of very high quality, with a super comfortable bed and plush bedding. The bathroom was well-appointed, stocked with Rituals products, including shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

We brought our dog along and were delighted to find a fluffy dog bed along with food and water bowls waiting for us in the room—a thoughtful touch that made us feel especially welcome.

The breakfast buffet was what you’d expect from a larger Clarion hotel, with several vegan options such as vegan butter, cheese, oatmeal, oat yogurt, hummus, vegetables, and fruits. There were also hot items like baked beans and roasted potatoes, though I would have liked to see plant-based sausages, waffles or pancakes, and more pastries. I noticed several gluten-free options as well, though I didn’t try them myself.

The hotel’s restaurant, Nor, also offers vegan dishes. While I’ve heard great things about their vegan schnitzel, I only sampled the vegan chocolate cake, which was pretty good.

Although the hotel is located on Hisingen, outside the city center, it’s easy to get downtown via ferry. The ferry terminal is just a short walk from the hotel, and the ride to Stenpiren takes only six minutes. From there, most of Gothenburg’s attractions are within easy walking distance. Plus, several of the ferries were free, which was a nice bonus!

I had seen some lower reviews prior to my stay, but I want to emphasize that I stayed about a week after the hotel’s opening and encountered none of the issues other guests had mentioned. It seems any initial teething problems had been resolved by the time of my visit, and overall, my experience was excellent. I would highly recommend the Clarion Karlatornet to others.

Brand new hotel. Great breakfast. Still a big construction site around the hotel area. Good connecting public transport to the city centre (bus or boat).

Overall, very satisfied!

normally, a nice hotel with nice interior but the window was very noisy. We were offered another room but that is not the solution to the problem.
