The goat cheese pizza was just as good as it was three years ago. The wine selection, however is not as good as in other bars. It represents a personal taste, which is absolutely fine, but I could not find a wine that I would have truly enjoyed. Some more standard wines would help the average customer.
Also it was quite very loud.

When you know Gothenburg, you know that Kafé Magasinet is a popular place to have a coffee and snacks. But did you also know that inside of Kafé Magasinet is another place, Olssons Vin? Mind-blowing, I know. Let’s talk about it!

Inside the industrial building on Tredje Långgatan, Olssons Vin has the doors open most evenings and invited to, well, mainly wine and champagne. But there is also some vegan-friendly food.
Next to the nuts they offer, you can also get a vegan pizza. It is topped with mushrooms, smoked almonds, rucola, pesto and vegan cheese on a thin crust. It’s a typical Swedish style pizza basically, but the composition makes the song.

Usually ready after only a short waiting time, the pizza is a proper size and rather cheap for the amount of expensive toppings with 155 SEK. Contrary to most places that offer vegan pizza, this is actually a quite nice composition that satisfies with a good balance. Especially the rather low amount of vegan cheese makes this quite easy to eat without feeling like you are eating just mushy coconut oil. Well done!

And all that while there is a good selection of drinks, even alcohol free, to a fair price point.

The place itself is a bit rough and the tiles remind of a butchers shop, but thankfully none of that takes place. It’s quite charming and a typical place for Gothenburg vibes.

All in all, not much to say about Olssons Vin other than that their selection and expertise of drinks is fantastic, the pizza good and you will have a good time. Only the lack of selection will be a downer, but you wouldn’t choose to eat here specifically anyways.

Pay them a visit and have a chat with them. They are pretty fun!

Olssons Vin is a surprisingly good complete experience for vegans. Good selection of drinks, snacks and fairly competent pizza with an interesting taste profile. It can get very crowded on weekends, but will still feel cosy and like a good place to hang out. The great and professional staff only helps elevate this place to a regular visit. Though the pizza will not blow you away, it is definitely a better one in Gothenburg.
