I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. We ordered a Margherita pizza, but it was overcooked, especially around the edges — it was almost burnt. What made it worse was that we had to wait 25 minutes for it, even though we were the only customers there at the time.

We also ordered the waffle dessert with ice cream. Unfortunately, the vanilla ice cream was not worth trying, and the strawberry flavor was equally underwhelming. Overall, it wasn’t a pleasant dining experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it based on what we had.

The entire experience was an absolute disaster. The food was ice cold—not just lukewarm, cold—and completely lacking in quality. Even the bread served at the beginning was clearly stale, as if they were recycling leftovers from the previous day. That alone already set the tone for what was to come.

The service? Easily the slowest and most disorganized I’ve ever witnessed. When the food finally arrived (after a painful wait), it was simply dropped on the table with zero explanation of what was being served. No coordination, no basic etiquette. We were a group of 11, and not a single staff member bothered to help serve or support us—we had to do it ourselves, which is simply embarrassing for a venue of this supposed caliber.

We ordered drinks multiple times, and they either never arrived or showed up an hour later. Yes, an hour. We even spoke directly to the manager—her response was a mix of indifference and blank stares. Absolutely nothing improved after that conversation. In fact, the service dragged even more.

When we told them the beef was cold, they overcooked it and brought it back like that was an acceptable solution. It was shocking. And then came the final blow: a bill of over £200 per person for food that wouldn’t even pass at a mid-range bistro.

Dear Gigi team, if you cannot handle basic hospitality, you simply should not operate a restaurant in Bodrum. Charging hundreds of pounds for poor service, mishandled food, and a complete lack of professionalism is not just a disappointment—it’s bordering on fraud. You are not a luxury experience. You are a tourist trap dressed up with a name.

We recently visited Gigi Restaurant in Bodrum. The food was delicious and well-prepared — definitely a highlight of the evening. However, some aspects of the service and presentation could be improved.

Drink presentations, especially for water and cocktails, were quite plain and lacked the attention to detail you’d expect from a place of this caliber. For the price of a full bottle of gin, we received cocktails that felt more like mocktails — light in alcohol and served in unimpressive glasses.

A small but thoughtful touch like offering a cold wet towel upon arrival, especially in the summer heat, would have been appreciated.

That said, compared to similar high-end spots (for example, in places like Saint-Tropez), Gigi offers more reasonable prices overall. With a bit more care for the customer experience, it could easily become a top-tier destination.
