A fantastic dinning experience. The tasting menu with wine pairing was sublime, it felt suitably seasonal for a cold October evening.   Pre-dinner cocktails were great and the service was perfect. We were in one of the small rooms which really enhanced the evening.  We’ll be back

absolutely delicious food - (the lobster, the venison broth and bread and the pumpkin desert were all standouts for me)and great wine pairings ( the dark heavy fruity red paired with the venison and all the light desert wines ) all
enhanced by fantastic service from Nick who knew about each course and the wines and made us feel very welcome.
id really recommend this place - and will definitely be back

Not really blown away by the choice of dishes or matching wines. If your chef only has to prepare 7 x repeat dishes every day I’d expect these to be adventurous and memorable with a touch of pazzaz. Serving a mini loaf of dull bread and butter was a lazy cop out and not fitting for a costly tasting menu. The majority of food and wine was ok and tasty if a little boring. The worst crime was charging 12.5% discretionary tip! That was an extra £40 on top for us. I removed it and paid what I thought was appropriate for a meal for two.

Had an incredible dinner here on my solo trip to Bath! Lajos was absolutely fantastic and explained each dinner and wine pairing perfectly, with so many details about why each item was selected. I loved the thought that went into each dish

We cannot fault this restaurant.  We had the most sublime dinner this evening, partaking in the new wild food tasting menu and wine flight.  The menu is crafted using local wild food such as venison, bunny, mackerel & nettles.... anything naturally harvested from Mother Nature.  Deliciously presented by experienced and knowledgeable staff, who really knew their onions!
Overall, a perfect evening and excellent value for money.
It was worth missing the Euro '24 Semi-Final for.  There, that says it all!
