We went to the restaurant last night (Sunday)
The two course meal was £40 and although the starter was tasty albeit small the main was tasteless and no veggies with it
The veg and potatoes were all extra!
The waitress was not helpful as my friends chair collapsed and she’s landed I. The floor!
The waitress just picked it up and asked for the piece of leg whilst she was still in the floor!
I reminded the waitress later that she should have addressed the incident oriperky and she just said that children  had been I. Earlier and they had probably broken it!
This really was not good enough and as a consequence we decided not to pay a tip!
We will not be going there again
Nice views but they closed the curtains!
So sad as we where really looking forward to a night of good food

Stayed for a couple of nights last week and it was all perfect. Room 5 is huge and a very comfy bed. Lovely bathroom and the toiletries are so nice we bought some when we left.
Everything is so well thought out - from fresh milk left outside the door for morning tea, a bowl and towel provided for the dog (& treats).
We had dinner included in the price so had a fabulous 3 course dinner each night (it was great how the menu was slightly different the second night), and the most amazing breakfast!
Great little 4 -5 mile circular walks along the coast path in either direction too straight from the door.
Wonderful friendly and helpful staff.
Honestly I could rave on about this place for hours! Just perfect.
We left feeling very rested, refreshed, and with expanded waistlines!

Ate here on a blustery February lunchtime. Such a haven from the elements, with a roaring fire. Local ales and lagers, nice wine list. And one of the best meals in a couple of years. So glad we went. Chef did us proud.

I revisited here this week (just before Christmas 2024). Dinner was enjoyable. The service is great. Easy going and attentive. It is not a budget choice but if your budget allows, definitely one to add to your list when you are staying in this lovely part of the world.

A second very lovely stay at the hotel. The peace and quiet is heavenly and the wood burner made our room so cosy. Being an old building, issues sometimes happen but the staff could not have been more responsive and helpful in sorting them out. Food is lovely if a bit rich. Theres a big choice of delicious food for breakfast and plenty for even the biggest appetites. A couple of lighter less buttery dinner options would have been welcome. All staff in hotel and restaurant are fantastic. There is a really comfortable relaxed atmosphere. A very big thank you far a fabulous stay with you.
