First visit to the Dartmoor Inn.  It totally lived up to expectation and local reputation.   We were looked after by Wren whom we thank sincerely for such lovely, professional and kind service.
Starter and mains were superb and all accompanying sides, sauces etc were just beautiful.  Steak cooked just right !!
Pretty much everything is locally sourced as well as a little further across the region.  The menu explains everything nicely giving you a real confidence in what you’re ordering.
An excellent Dartmoor location with a cosy atmosphere and plenty of parking at the rear.  The restaurant also boasts a well stocked bar and is supported by an excellent and appropriately priced wine list.

There are rooms to stay in but we live locally so can’t comment further but at first glance it all looks great.

Thank you to Chef and the team for a wonderful anniversary evening for us.  Looking forward to our next visit.

Popped in for first time and made to feel welcome by friendly staff even though I hadn't booked. Very cosy bar with wood burner and delicious food. Stunning views out to the moor, loved it, will be returning 🫶🏻

Came here with my wife for the restaurant. Pleased with the food. Very well presented and tasted good. Portion sizes are good too. Had starter and main and was full with no room for dessert.

Would say the restaurant could have been heated a little more.

Superb pub with 3 rooms. Wife and I stayed here whilst on short cycling tour. Secure lock up for bikes in wood shed - we actually had to leave early the next morning so staff very kindly allowed us to leave bikes in one of the dining rooms for us to leave promptly. Very accommodating!
What sets this place apart is the food - quite simply some of the best food I have ever eaten. I can highly recommend the wood pigeon and venison. A must if you’re a foodie!

We have eaten here once before, and it was good enough for us to come back the next time we were in the area! I was recently diagnosed with coeliac disease, and the staff went above and beyond with explaining what I could have that was GF, and even went into the possibilities of which items may have cross contamination, and which items definitely wouldn’t. The food was 10/10, and the staff were brilliant. We will absolutely be returning the next time we are in West Country!!
