You English and your love of chain cafés... sure you know what to expect, but you need a little individuality, a little character, or (at the risk of coming over all Office Space) a little flair to set a place apart.


 Like here. Where one of the staff seems to have taken a hospitality course that involved watching the 'soup nazi' episodes of Seinfeld. I've never heard 'please' sound so threatening. Bizarrely, it makes me dig it. I'm usually in a foul mood as I pick up lunch at work, and I appreciate the lack of inane and forced pleasantness - it always helps to know someone else hates their job (I'm definitely channelling Mike Judge now...) and it's like getting a little bit of street theatre as you wait for your sandwich.


 Drinkwise: avoid the coffee if you know what good coffee's meant to taste like, but if you're a Starbucks regular you'll probably see it as a step up.


 Foodwise: pretty good sandwiches and hot dishes on offer, although the 'spicy chicken' mix is a gamble - some days it burns (in a good way), others it just tastes like chicken.


 Valuewise: not bad as long as you don't fall for the 'eat in' mark up (which seems to be more here than elsewhere) - order take away and get a seat in the station or go to Regents Park. Unless of course you want to watch the floor show.

Food is average for the price. Staff unfriendly. There is better in the area so steer clear.
