Great Beer, Great Looking Place, Great staff.
WOULD HAVE BEEN 5 STARS

But not taking cash... I prefer to give my money to a business who is not assisting a slip into a 'digital currency' only world.

We were excited to try the Sunday Roast following all the social media hype, but it was one of the worst experiences we’d had in London in years.
The venue is odd, cavernous and it was dark by mid afternoon when we arrived. It was noisy despite being only half full and so cold. Trying to ignore the atmosphere, we went to the bar to order. Our next concern was the hygiene - one female member of staff had walked straight back behind the bar from having a cigarette at the door and immediately served drinks without washing her hands. Her attitude was pretty poor too, we asked a question and she just shrugged and pulled a face. The second member of staff was more helpful and friendly, but he soon was collecting glasses - gave a customer’s dog a good rub down and then proceeded to serve food without washing his hands. Thirdly, the waitress was constantly yanking at her torn tights, her belly was out and we saw it touching one of the plates she was serving, whilst also holding down a Yorkshire pudding on a side plate with her thumb as she walked through.  Then there was the actual food! A half a chicken with normal trimmings was £36! Advertised as suitable for up to 3 sharing - it most definitely wasn’t. It wasn’t a particularly large, half a chicken or portion of sides. The beef was overcooked and 1/4 of the plate was filled with the sauce. They take orders at the bar and you pay before food is served. They automatically give you a screen asking for a 10/20/30% tip at that time and given my OH’s fear of offending serving staff that have access to our food - he obliged to adding the tip rather than rejecting it.
So £40 for a half a chicken (definitely only a 1 person portion), which was essentially bbq chicken, £26 for the beef which was fine and drinks were reasonably priced. The cabbage was a bit sour, the horseradish ranch wasn’t great, the carrots and potatoes were mid and the gravy was minimal (they ask for £3 for more gravy). The Yorkshire puddings, however, were very tasty!

Absolutely pathetic excuse for a burger - how is this worth £10. Unfortunately it's not just the size that was lacking - it tasted like it was store bought, and reheated!

Service wasn't awful, but considering it was not at all busy, on a Saturday night, there should have been more staff. Overall, a very lacklustre experience, capped off by an embarrassing excuse for a "smashed burger".

If you’re looking for a top notch Sunday roast then look no further! This is an absolute must for anyone who is passionate about their meat and finding a place that cooks with great pride, care and professionalism.

Located in a railway arch they have combined a top class kitchen with a microbrewery to deliver arguably one of London’s best Sunday lunches. The beef was cooked to perfection with crunchy roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding.

Two slight negatives  - a very limited wine list with no option for corkage and a single very rich and quite sugary pudding. Other than that, an outstanding trip across London for an absolute feast.

We will definitely be back!

Great selection of beers in this brewery/pub. Built in a giant hangar like complex, the service is good but the whole place feels strangely soulless even when full of paying customers. Couldn’t put my finger on why.
