I booked through Booking.com and paid in full before the date. I arrived at the hotel early at around 11:00 with my girlfriend and they still told me the room was ready for check in despite my earliness. They also upgraded our room from the Small Double Room to the fantastic Deluxe Double room!

The feather bed may have been the best I have ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. Check out at 12:00 meant we could have a nice lie in on that beautiful bed!

I somehow forgot a bottle of Tom Ford perfume when we packed up and called reception some hours later and they had it. When I returned to the hotel 2 days later to collect it they still had it at reception. Exceptional service and amazing location. 5 stars!

Loved it, would definitely stay here again!
The breakfast buffet was great, and the waiters very nice :)
The lobby area looks super cozy, I would have hung out there just for the sake of it :D
The fact that it's a literal 1.5 minute from the tube station is ridiculously convenient!
Our room was a bit small-looking, but comfortable enough. Definitely loved the shower with the huge overhead shower head :)

My only negative:
If you end up in a room above the kitchen area, several times a day the kitchen smells will enter your room somehow and accumulate there - overwhelmingly so, almost a bit nauseating at times. We had to keep the AC running at all times, which was the only way to prevent the smell.

My son and I visited the hotel for the Jurassic Afternoon tea. It was fantastic! The staff and the service, the cocktails, the selection of teas and the food. The pastries were as good to eat as they were to look at! AMAZING!!! We flew down from Scotland for the day - I saw this on social media and decided to surprise my son for his 21st birthday. He loved dinosaurs as a wee boy and he loved the afternoon tea.  We had the best day and the Jurassic tea was the absolute highlight. So special - thank you!

We just love to stay in The Ampersand Hotel - lovely boutique hotel in great central location, a very short walk from South Kensington tube station.  We had a large, spacious and trendy room with a very comfortable bed. Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel, in a super convenient location right next to a tube station. I cannot fault the reception staff who went out of their way to assist me with an early check in after a long flight. There was a queue of people, but check in was still organised and efficient. Everyone was friendly and pleasant and very helpful, which was greatly appreciated. The room was lovely, well appointed and decorated, spacious, comfortable. The bathroom was stocked with high end and useful products. There is a clear attention to detail that raises the hotel's profile and makes staying there a joy. I tried the room service, it was quick and delicious and well presented. I also booked an afternoon tea for some family and again, staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Staff also accommodated some food/allergy requests for one of our party with grace and care. This was my second time having afternoon tea here, and it was as flawless as the first. Oh, and I had the best breakfast I've ever had in London at their adjoining restaurant/cafe. Zero complaints. Thank you for making my stay memorable!
