Hopping spot in heart of Marylebone.  Had to pop in while the crew was shopping in open air market.  Imagine you typical, higher end English pub and you got it. 100 yrs old appointments, booths and high tops.  Full bar and tons of beers on tap. Bartenders are busy, but still manage to be attentive and helpful.  Great spot for a pint and a convo.

We were walking portobello market and needed a bottle of wine & Food. We were able to get two seats at the bar and a bottle of wine and split an English Breakfast. Service was good and nice music.

This place is a tourist trap and I wouldn't go here unless you are just coming for drinks. We came for a Sunday roast and it was simply not good. The food had little to no flavor and the if there was flavor it was not good. Not to mention, we moved from a table in the back to a table closer to the bar and it smelt absolutely awful at the table...I almost lost my appetite. I realized there was a vent next to the table and the bathrooms were right below us...gross. 

I ordered the beef roast on a Sunday and the only decent thing on my plate was the single potato and the carrots. The beef was over cooked and thin and the rest of the food was extremely bland. My Yorkshire pudding was burnt and cold. The server was rude and never checked in on us. 

I was really looking forward to trying my first Sunday roast in London and I was extremely underwhelmed. I'm sure there are plenty of places with better roasts you can find. I very rarely leave bad reviews but this was a pretty bad experience :(

Not as big inside as looks outside    Food was good   I especially liked their tartar sauce with the fish    Staff was not really friendly would be only thing that held my review back from 4 star but could have just been a bad day

A Roast lunch meal, & fish and chips! Friendly and kind environment. Definitely will recommend this place.

Pub was ok, food was pretty average. Bartender and staff were friendly, but not overly attentive. We ordered soup as an appetizer and it was pretty bland and watery. Nothing really to write home about here.

Generally I expect a pub to be impersonal and have a snooty staff.  The Duke of Wellington, however, is so warm and friendly.  Daniel and his colleagues make the place feel happy and even homelike.  I felt welcomed and I relaxed immediately, like I was among friends.  The food was excellent too!  This is a pub I'll remember, and look forward to coming back.  Thanks, everyone!

Stumbled in to The Duke of Wellington when we were in Notting Hill because we were desperate for breakfast. I'm not sure if it's a European thing to not have hostess' but we were told by an elderly man to just sit down and someone would serve us- since he could sense our hesitation. We sat down and no one came, no one came. The waitress then went to the table who seated after us and I informed her that we had not taken our order nor been giving menus and she responded politely that she thought we ordered at the bar. I don't know why she thought this, but nonetheless it seems haphazard to not have any full on system. We sat at a table in what appeared to be the dining room but apparently there is quite a large amount of seating although you wouldn't know it with how crowded things got. They have a few tables situated right around their coffee station which seemed quite inconvenient to the wait staff. 
Their breakfast menu only had a few options so I went with pancakes as I didn't want poached eggs or any beans (which the other options came with). The pancakes were dry , came with butter and syrup. 
The food looks great and it does look like a very nice place to dine / drink and the inside is gorgeous ! Maybe just not the best place to dine when you're in a rush or if you're unaware of the European dining customs.

We walked into this pub not realizing that it was the same one featured in the movie "Notting Hill". That's their claim to fame and that's about it. 

The rose wine I had was a decent pour but served in a dirty wine glass. (you can totally see the water mark on my glass!) the bf liked his Guiness. We ordered their pita and hummus with warm olives as a light snack. 

On a nice day, the seats outside provide a prime spot for people watching because the pub's superb location is right in the middle of the action -- the famous Portabello road. Skip the overpriced food, but stop by for a drink -- the barkeep is friendly and nice. Pooches welcome too!

Jam packed over crowded with stressed staff. Food we ordered and paid for never arrived so we left. Skip it. Way better places.
