A great place to walk your dog! Also a really good park here and the Rookery cafe nearby is great. And a kids splash pool which the dogs can use in the autumn and winter when it's out of use to be cleaned. Easy to navigate paths. Nice and spacious. Good amount of bins and benches nearby too. Great place for flying kits too! They also have a kite festival. It's a really great community space.

The Rookery, a hidden gem of a designer garden is here. A Must See.
I visited Rookery in the month of January, and it was a beautiful happy sunshiny day. Despite the cold and most plants not in flower, the landscaped garden is beautiful.

There are a lot of things to do in nature, but the most important thing is to reconnect with God. Go and see this wonderful park for yourself and discover the hidden beauty of creation. The park itself contains grassy fields, forest, hill, a tennis court, many benches to sit on if you get tired easily by walking through this huge park. I can only just recommend, as it is a treasure given by the Almighty God to us humans, so that we can enjoy ourselves in His presence.

Overall this is a five star stretch of common land as valuable as any other in London, but this review is focused on one small but important feature: the water fountain just outside the rockery.
These photos are actually taken after a first go at cleaning the spout with a tissue. They don't do justice to how covered in tough black-green dirt this was. The spout itself being filthy surely raises hygiene issues? It's so easy to press the button, drink and not notice the dirt especially in low light.
Suggested solution: Could the parks team add a quick spray and wipe of the fountain to their regular maintenance schedule? Even just a quick clean would keep it safe to drink from.
Not a solution: Please don't use this as a reason to shut off the fountain - that would be the wrong answer, people still need water.

Fantastic place to walk and relax, a big expanse of common, nice woods, great Cafe, but best of all has to be the Rookery, lovely groomed gardens, what a beautiful place to just sit and relax, if you have never been I'm sure you will be pleasantly surprised, they also hold musical and theatre events in the Rookery in the summer.
