We came for high tea and thoroughly enjoyed the service, ambience and scones. The sandwiches were dry and tea selection/taste very average - surprisingly as one would expect perfection knowing that high tea for 2 (we didn’t have the alcohol) cost 200£.

Overall an interesting experience but wouldn’t be rushing back.

Autumn in full swing and what a way to sample this season’s harvest at @Jean-Georges at The Connaught. 🍂 Not pictured, a glass of @Billecart Brut Reserve on arrival - lovely.

2. Crispy Salmon Sushi with a chipotle emulsion and soy glaze. In the background, crispy Galician octopus with lemon-caper emulsion, potatoes, fennel and herb salad.
3. Cornish turbot with a charred spring onion herb butter sauce. Paired with a glass of 2022 Argyros, Santorini.
4. Hereford beef fillet with a peppercorn crust and spiced jus. Paired with a glass of 2017 Brunello Di Montalcino, Tenute Di Cesta.
5. Fig and Blackberry. Poached fig with honey and goat’s cheese ice cream with fig leaf chantilly.
6. Mille Feuille with caramelised pecan nuts, vanilla ice cream and warm caramel.
7. Peach and raspberry choux.
8. Connaughty Hound. The hotel emblem, a miniature work of art containing chocolate hazelnut cake.

Overall, a delightful meal with excellent pairings by Veronica on Daniel Manetti’s team and a memorable ending with the work by Nicolas Rouzaud’s team at the Connaught patisserie. Recommended for special occasions and what a treat to sit by the window admiring Silence by Tadao Ando. Mesmerising.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 17th wedding anniversary here. The food, the service, the ambience and our experience were all excellent. We had their tasting menu and it was awesome.

Over the top service.

I really don't want to be explained in which order to eat my dry sandwiches.

For £95 pp, I expected more than wonder bread.

On the other hand, the pastries were excellent, and looked like they took quite of bit of labour to create.

The scones were great, in particular the dark, whole wheat one.

This is not my type of crowd - Lamborghinis revving their engines at the entrance to the hotel don't add anything to the dining atmosphere.

Were referred by the claridges team here as they had no more availability. Overall a pretty solid high tea with generous servings albeit slightly pricier than other options like at the ritz or mandarin oriental.

Sandwiches are on the blander side but pastries are phenomenal
