So incredible we went two weeks in a row. They make the bread in house, it might be the best we’ve ever tried. You can watch the chefs preparing the food through a hole in the wall and it’s a very special experience.
The flavour of every dish was so rich and complex. The portions are not huge but that is a very nice thing, you can have 3 courses!
A very unique place and we plan to return again soon. The staff are also lovely, very attentive

I went here for my birthday dinner and it was a really wonderful experience. The service was very good - they are friendly, welcoming and had a great balance of checking on you throughout the meal without it being too much. It’s not a small plates restaurant but operates with starters, mains and desserts. My partner and I chose to share two of each to create a sort of tasting menu for ourselves. The scallops were delicious and definitely my favourite dish, as was the pork main. The wine was also very nice. I really enjoyed coming to Eline for dinner and would recommend it to others.

A good fine dining creative restaurant, without the drawbacks like formal dress code and impersonal service. Pricing set to make the tasting menu a valuable option, as it includes 2 main courses.

Agnolotti in broth and fish plate were remarkable, with chocolate & nuts dessert also surprising. Not sure about ballotine that remained a little dry despite the dips.

Timely and warm service, ambience is ideal for a relaxed meal with friends. Reservations recommended for dinner.

Food was exquisite.  Better than a lot of places with a single Michelin star.  Food is well priced given the very high standard of cooking.
My starter of confit carrot with vermouth doused lightly pickled fennel was best vegetable dish in recent memory.  The plate also contained roasted pistachios, a sweet carrot puree with caramel undertones, two green gels of which one was herbal and the other was an astringent leafy vegetable I couldn't quite identify.  My companion raved about his mushroom and poached egg starter with smoked mash.  Don't miss the complex and well balanced vegetable dishes here.
My main was the BBQ venison which was accompanied by roasted and pureed parsnip, some wilted sauteed greens, a cherry gel.  The highlight on my plate was a steamed suet pudding filled with braised venison.  It had the charm of Chinese meat filled sticky rice dim sums.  My companion's cod with braised leak, parsley mash and deep fried stuffed mussels was proclaimed excellent.
Dessert was a shared serving of crumbly cheddar served with plum chutney and little treacle digestives.  My only complaint were that the biscuits that came with the cheese dessert were a bit greasy and overly rich.  After I mentioned that to the waiter, I could see through the serving hatch that all the kitchen staff were tasting and opining about the biscuits.  They take customer feedback seriously.
For a fine dining establishment, they don't gouge you on wine.  There were  a handful of bottles in the £30 to £35 range.
My only complaint is that the acoustics are not great.  We could choose from a number of tables for 2 and could thankfully distance ourselves from a very loud table.

If I'm going to have my last meal, it would have to be from Eline. I was treated for a pre-mother's day meal here, and what a treat indeed! It was worth travelling from the SW of London to the East. In my gastronom head.. I heard drums rolling as plates of food were put on the table. Even if you don't like the idea of liver pate, you have to try their whipped chicken liver pate! It's magic! Doesn't look anything what you'd imagine it would be. It was so creamy, light, and truly a delight to eat with their homemade bread. I will gladly eat a ton of their beer bread. The starters of perfectly cooked breast of quail and fried juicy scallops will definitely tease your tastebuds. The main meal of pork was poetically cooked and served. Three types of pork on a plate that will make you go, nommm.. nom.. nom! My son opted for the mushroom.  It was equally delicious. Like all comfort food, it was cleverly served in a bowl! No boring nut pie can give you that for sure! Every bit added on each dish made all their amazing meals delicious, well seasoned, and balanced to make an unforgettable meal. Every sauce, jus, foam, and pureed vegetables complemented each dish. The arlettes and almond financier desserts were a great way to end the meal. The menu was not as extensive as other restaurants, but it is condensed to perfectly cooked dishes. The chefs are blessed with skills! They are the Rembrants and Picasso of the gastronomic world!
