I want there for lunch on my own on a Thursday and it was my first time in this new branch located in the heart of soho. The space is beautiful, very art deco, soft pastels, comfy seating, a piano in the corner and the possibility of hosting large groups or intimate, romantic dinners, making it perfect for indulgent lunches, day-drinking, or an illicit liaison. You can envisage naughty things can happen in here. The food is Italian with some twists, and it is very good. I had mozzarella in carrozza, a typical Neapolitan disc that is also very popular in Rome and in southern Italy in general. This came with a sauce on a side, a delicious tomato sauce, leading to the unavoidable dipping of the mozzarella in it. A genius idea, In line with the Italian tradition of “scarpetta”( the dipping of bread in any pasta sauce left in a plate) . After this delicious starting point, there was the magatello with Gorgonzola and walnuts, another great starter. As a main I had the gnocchi with venison ragu’, very nice but not as good as the starters, perhaps the success not seasoned enough, but it was still a nice dish. As it was daytime I had water and 1 glass of Picpoul to accompany my meal. I ended on a high, with a divine tiramisu, probably the best I have tasted in a very, very long time. The portion was gigantic and it was fluffy and light with the perfect combination of coffee, mascarpone and chocolate. The girl that welcomed me and served me throughout was a very smiley, caring, warm, professional human being from Vancouver, and she really is an asset. Her service is great, and her timing was incredible, I am ashamed that I do not recall her name but I hope the management takes notice of how good she is. All in all, a fantastic place where to go for whatever the occasion. I would recommend to always book. They have space for walk ins, but, especially if you go for dinner, it is better to do that to avoid disappointment. Enjoy !

We had a lovely dinner here. We tried a dish from the main menu and the pre theatre menu. All dishes we excellent. Nice portion size and very tasty. Great value as well. The pasta is a little less al-dente than some other places but personally I prefer that.  Wine and cocktails we also excellent. The people working there are super friendly and welcoming. We had a super evening and really enjoyed our short visit. I hope we can revisit soon.

Really lovely italian food. We had the 4 course family menu, everyone sharing from the same large plates served down the table, just like in italy. Polenta particularly delicious.
The venue is slightly hard to find above the theatre but its definitely worth seeking out.

Every dish was delicious. Can't wait to come back. Servers were lovely but it was just a bit slow. Clearly just trying to find their feet with the location and combined bar with the underbelly theatre. Will be back very soon!

We recently went here for a birthday dinner. The restaurant is in a good location and has a good atmosphere. I had high hopes for the food because I have been to Marcella and think the food there is delicious. The ingredients at Artusi feel fresh, however, the gnocchi I had was very bland and disappointing. The pasta was mushy (like mashed potato) and the arguably lacked flavour. We ordered the gelato for dessert and it tasted like mildly milky ice. The wine was good and the cocktails are ok.

All the toilets were out of service and the service was a bit inconsistent. Worth trying but we won’t be returning in a hurry.
