Lunch stop. Overall, an not bad, but not wonderful dining experience. Customer service was pleasant and attentive. Food was so-so. Ordered the Kilpatrick Oysters and the trout. Both dishes were edible, but think the trout was a tad raw. The oysters were covered in sauce to hide the small size. The fries were tasty.

I loved my experience here, the manager took the time to check on us, asked for feedback on the food and gave some honest recommendations. Everything including the oysters, mussels and haddock was extremely fresh. He even gave me a second fillet of haddock as he though the first was too small, without asking. It was an amazing seaside/ship vibe - the toilets are very interesting too - down an orignal spiral staircase (not recommended for those who have mobility issues though). It's a small place so I would recommend booking and definately plan on coming back.

We went to The Oysterman for oysters and bubbly to celebrate my birthday. Great service, good selection of oysters. Were pleasantly surprised to take advantage of a happy hour offer. Lovely stuff. Will be back again.

Seriously good seafood over 2 visits in the last 6 months. First visit was back in 2017 and it's a consistent favourite for oysters - fresh, great value and delicious! The lady preparing drinks and chefs are warm and friendly but floor service is hit and miss - on my last visit as a solo diner, initially sitting me at the back facing a wall was not great especially when all the bar and window seats were free. Also had to ask for everything, including that first drink.Given the service fee, could be better. That said, I'll always come back for the food 🤩

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. All was delicious. Service was on point and all very friendly. Highly recommended! The flavours of the mussels and chowder 👏🏻 The only small piece of feedback would be that last time I visited, the bread was warm which was perfect, this time it wasn’t but it was still fabulous!
