There is no longer an indoor seating cafe - this is now a French restaurant. There’s only a couple of tables in the hallway leading to the courtyard where you pick up your coffee and 3 tables outside in front of the Café.

Lack of seating aside, I tried their matcha latte with oat milk and the katsu sando (they were out of the egg sando by the time I ordered around 1:30pm).

The matcha is nothing I haven’t already tried and pretty standard. The katsu sando was served cold, with one bread being soft and falling apart and the other a tad stale.

Service was kind but I wouldn’t try this place again for the cost of the two (almost 20 pounds)

I’ve been seeing Café Kitsuné all over social media and was excited to finally try their matcha after hearing so much about it. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to the hype. The matcha tasted pretty standard—nothing special compared to other places, which was disappointing given the buzz surrounding it.

The café itself feels more like a takeaway spot, which makes sense considering how busy it gets. On the positive side, the service was quick, and I didn’t have to wait long for my drink. However, for a £7 matcha, I expected something of more premium quality. Overall, it’s not bad, but I wouldn’t say it’s worth the hype.

Definitely over priced for coffee and sandwiches but worth a visit.

Their pain au chocolate have the most amazing lamination but could somehow be more buttery. The matcha is reasonable and does not have the grassy aftertaste which many do. The egg sando was good but again, over priced.

In my recent visit to Café Kitsuné, I ordered the matcha latte and the pistachio danish. The matcha latte was nice, with the right amount of intensity. As for the pastry, the taste was good but the freshness was questionable.
I was disappointed that, for the £16 that I paid for a hot drink and a pastry, I got disposable wooden cutlery (which broke halfway) and a paper cup. I expected better service and a proper fork and knife (metal please) to match the prestige of the brand name and the price I was paying for it.
