A really cool coffee shop in Soho with a vibrant, energetic vibe. They play great music, and I enjoyed a creamy flat white along with a perfectly flaky and buttery croissant.

The staff was very friendly, adding to the relaxed atmosphere. This spot isn’t quiet—the music is loud, making it ideal if you’re looking for a place with energy and good tunes while enjoying your coffee. Perfect for a lively break!

Cool spot, good looking food. The coffee was insanely good. Possibly the beat coffee ive had. Id like to know what beans they use so I can have at home. Will be back for sure.

Unfortunately, coffee was average
The atmosphere was so cool though. They had some really Funny signs about customer service, A really wonderful little shop, but unfortunately was just a little disappointed about the coffee

The original and still the best? Flat White was a revelation donkey’s years ago - an oasis of beautiful coffee made with love when most coffee served up in London was crap and people still asked for chocolate powder on a woeful cappuccino. I’ve been living overseas for eight years, visiting London for a few weeks and decided to seek it out again. Nothing’s changed. In a good way. Same small cosy place, friendly team, and a cortado and a flat white that each were divine. There are so many “artisan”coffee houses in London now, not all of them are good, but Flat White in Berwick Street is probably one of the originals, and definitely (still) one of the best.

In response to Jemma’s review…

First off, Flat White is not a co-working space for people to use freely. If you're looking for that kind of environment, I’d suggest joining WeWork or paying for a membership at Soho House. The vibe at Flat White is centred around playing music that appeals to regulars like myself—people who come here to relax, enjoy good coffee, and soak in the atmosphere. Asking them to turn down the music goes against what the café is all about. If that's not your style, there are plenty of alternatives, such as Starbucks or other places that might better suit your preferences.

As a regular, I’ve always found the staff to be friendly and accommodating, which is one of the reasons I come back. Given my experience, it’s hard to believe the staff were rude to you unless something from your end contributed to that.

In short, not every place is obligated to cater to individual tastes. It’s up to you to find a spot that suits your needs. Just because Flat White doesn’t align with your expectations doesn't mean it’s not a great establishment. Best of luck finding a place that works for you.
