Overall impressions - one of the most romantic restaurants in the city. Don’t tell anyone, it already almost impossible to get a table!!

Service - friendly, personable but not too in your face and disruptive. Space adequately between dishes, politely and helpful with your drink whether it might need top up. I love that they do not keep topping your water, frankly we don’t drink that much water in short space of time so well done to get all the service right and professional and so friendly.
Atmosphere - love the two legs hanging from the ceiling before and grieving its loss! Please bring it back, it makes the place super cool!
Let’s talk candle lights, oh so love it. Do more, never stop the candles. Make sure we have good air and good ventilation like always, then we (the customers) are happy.
The manager was super friendly, accommodating - amazing to chat with you. Our waiter was courteous , professional and not overly friendly. The cloak desk personnel was efficient & friendly.
Food - Menu changed regularly, good things. That means ingredients are always fresh. Written in fancy terms, sometimes language, to elevate the perception of the dish but mostly the chef execute most of the dishes very well. Not overly salty, decent portions (some to be honest a little too small!). Presentation was pleasing.

Reservation is absolutely necessary but I can’t always get it 😵
Few food bloggers spent ages taking pictures of themselves and the food.
Wine menu was good. Please bring good price pinot noir to the menu by glass. It’s a sophisticated ambient.

Went in with mixed feelings as the opinions tend to toggle for this establishment. The whole experience is very romantic, the welcoming, going up with the elevator, the old style high ceiling dining room, perfectly dimmed lights with lots of candles, beautiful decor. Service was attentive and well organized. In our visit the food was good and didn’t disappoint, British style dishes with some twists. Portions could be bigger but it wasn’t a huge deal breaker. Did the food leave us in awe tho? No but it definitely was not as negative as some of the reviews but then again it is a personal opinion. For the price you can definitely get much better culinarily experience but all in all it was worth to try it out.

Amazing place - feels so secluded, which is lovely. Impressive wine list! I went for lunch with a friend and had the Friday set menu They charge 15% for service which is steep for the UK but I didn’t mind too much as the staff were attentive and friendly.

I don’t really know why the reviews are so mixed for this place. I was a bit apprehensive (I booked for my mom’s birthday weekend and really wanted to get it right), but this was highly recommended by a friend.

First of all, THE PLACE. Sort a secret entrance with a restaurant at the last floor of the building. The space is just nothing like you can see in London. This is just so bloody beautiful. I can’t wait to go back in summer to try their terrace.

Foodwise, everything was on point. The bread, the cured ham, the crab, the fish, the meat… my mom is the most picky eater and reordered the crab dish. We had the perfect time there. Oh and the service was really great :)

However IF you have been spoiled by Italian coffee, skip the espresso 😅
