Called in Monday 11th November 2024 for a meal and drinks before going to the Opera House. I had the Brisket and Steak Pie, veg and mash. It is the best steak pie I have ever had in a pub or restaurant.
There was a good  selection of ales and beers on draft. I was served by Sarah who was knowledgeable of the ales.
Recommended.

Over the years I have included The Bank when around Manchester for a drink. I visited  in December 2018 and sadly they only had 3 low volume real ales. Still a great place to visit.

This was my first time visiting the bank and i was not disappointed. This is a nicholson pub, so it is not a surprise i enjoyed my time there.

We ordered calamari, and halloumi fries from the sides and bar snacks menus, and a beef brisket burger.

🧀 Halloumi fries - The halloumi fries were incredible. they were so chunky and cooked perfectly. They were garnished with watercress which complimented them very nicely. It was served with sweet chilli mayonnaise which was a lovely dip.

🦑 Calamari - This was very tasty. The
bowl was filled to the brim with fired baby calamari, chillis, and spring onion, served with half a lemon and a sweet chilli sauce, this bar snack was wonderful. There was a lot of calamari, i could not finish it all (which is not a complaint). However, a few pieces were a little over cooked and burnt on the outside.

🍔 Beef brisket burger - WOW. This was incredible. the burger was so thick and topped with so much brisket. My one complaint would be that it did not have much salad in it, and the gherkin was served on top instead of inside. The chips were very nice and a fair amount were served. £17 may sounds steep for a burger, but i would say this is worth it.

The atmosphere in here was lovely and the service was fast. It is a great place to grab a drink and/or have a meal. i will be returning.

Amazing experience at The Bank! Food absolutely delicious in a lovely environment. Lucy mainly served us, she was lovely and very helpful! But every person who served us was very friendly, amazing service x I would recommend visiting here and the chicken schnitzel is a must, we will return x

Fantastic place to eat! Family of five two adults and 3 kids! Well hosted and served with quality cuisine over 20 years established!

Just been for a late lunch and the food was really good, the chicken pie and steak pie were both really good and the fish was cooked to perfection, just as fish should be cooked. Great selection of cask ales which is a big tick from me and the atmosphere is really nice and the building is stunning.
Will most definitely be coming back for more
