Visited The Elderflower to try the 7 course (yes, 7 course) tasting menu, and I must say it was one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Every dish was incredible, but not large enough to make you feel like a stuffed pig by the end. The wine was matched perfectly to each dish and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Easily one of the best restaurant meals I've ever tasted, just superb.

Absolutely stunning restaurant, the staff were so attentive & the food was just beautiful.   We had the 7 course taster menu which was an explosion of new flavours.  The staff explained every course to us & loved being able to chat with them about the flavours.  It’s not just food it’s an experience.  Thank you to all of the staff for a wonderful evening.

Great people and tasty food and loved the atmosphere but a little rushed through the first couple of courses so had to slow down a bit to send a message.
One little downfall is just the w/c could do with bringing up to the standard of the service and food

Treated my Son and myself to the Tasting menu,it was wonderful and the drinks pairing was spot on.The service was impeccable and friendly,so nice to have a special meal where everyone is clearly passionate about what they do.

Having seen the restaurant on Tv we decided to visit from Yorkshire. Knowing it was a tasting menu we picked the 5 course and went with the flow.
It was a blind menu not knowing what we were getting till it was served.
The food was very good and both me and my wife enjoyed it but both agreed the fruit de mere was our least favorite as the shell fish consumé was too salty for us, neither being huge salt users it was personal preference.
By far the best was the catch of the day I could have eaten that 5 times and not bothered with the other courses.
A strange one was the duck leg bakewell which sounds weird and shouldnt work but it did hats off to whoever though of it.
The tastes were excellent and the meal not cheap but reflects in the work needed to produce
As others have said the service was a little hap hazard they were young staff learning the craft under the watchful eye of the take no prisoners front of house french owner.
I felt initially that we were being rushed as plates were wanting to be cleared before we had both finished although there was a wait between each course it was put down to just overzelous young staff learning.
It was a breath of fresh air to speak to someone who is passionate about what they do and also not frightened to straight talk.
