Amazing time, snow starts around 500 meters in December, pretty cold peak is around -5 degrees from the temperature at the ground level. Nice path, sadly didn’t get to summit due to a lot of wind (80mph) at the plateau which is the last 30 min push. Overall got to around 1200m and back in around 6.5 hours. Very fun, some level of fitness is definitely required, I’d say around a 25 min or less 5k run is the minimum for this summit in the winter.

Amazing experience! But definitely a summit that you should not underestimate! Considering my wife a good hiker she found it difficult because of the amount of steps involved but I think it wasn’t that bad beside the whether was terrible, we got absolutely soaked! And it was very cold for August! You really need to gear up for the hike especially with the weather conditions. The  views are amazing and truly breathtaking when you can😉. I would definitely recommend it but make sure you have spare clothes, socks, gloves, hand warmers and hot drinks and snacks to keep you warm and energetic with plenty of water.

Excellent hike. Did indeed take about 7 hours for a round trip from Glen Nevis. Best to go on a slightly cloudy day. I managed to get burnt on the legs despite the cloud cover.

You can easily find your way up without a map as there should be blue flags showing the way, but having some GPS so you understand how far you still need to go is a good idea.

There's plenty of streams on the way up so you don't need tons of water. The top was a bit chilly, even on a warm day, so bring a decent jacket.

I started hiking at 2pm which was a bit late. We were almost the last people going up, but then later there were more hikers who apparently planned to camp on the mountain. That looks like a fun idea.

Wish I'd had some hiking sticks. My legs are strong, but coming down is brutal. The steps are uneven and quite large.

You don't need to be super fit to make it up, but you need grit and perseverance. Good luck!

Unreal hike. Highest peak in the UK, what a great bucket list hike.
First 2/3 were great but the last third was rough skree so tough up and down.

4 hours of active hiking time up and down but spent about 7 hours in the trail exploring the halfway loch and other sights. Pack 2+ litres of water and lots of food for a great hike! Lucky with exceptional weather but the top was still windy and cold, pack layers. Views from the top are outstanding and you can see all the way to the ocean. 8 pounds for full day parking and bathrooms in the parking lot.
