Great place for breakfast with a real British atmosphere! We loved the décor -- it's cozy and charming. Very pleasant experience overall.

We ordered the Royal Eggs with smoked salmon (similar to Eggs Benedict) and an English Breakfast. Everything was delicious, and the egg quality was excellent. I also had a lychee matcha -- the matcha itself was great quality, just a bit too sweet for my taste (I'd ask for less sweetness next time). My husband ordered a coffee pot with milk, which was a very cool experience and great coffee quality too.

Our server, a young woman named Tasha, was wonderful -- super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a great breakfast in the heart of London, not far from Big Ben!

Make reservations to this popular restaurant at the Covent Garden. My husband and I enjoyed a cocktail first at the bar before getting seated for our reservation.  Most people dress up, it's a lovely restaurant. Both our dishes, sea bass and lobster linguine were great. Didn't get to try any desserts as we were so full.

Staff service is awesome. The green jackets reminds me of the Masters.

Hubby wanted to try The Ivy's Full English Breakfast while we were in London. I came across this market online so we decided to give it a try. We have learned during our stay in London that the portion sizes are rather generous. With that in mind, we decided to split the Ivy's Full English Breakfast and the Mini Pastries. The English Breakfast is similar to eggs and bacon breakfast that you would find in the U.S.  The only difference is in the states our eggs and bacon breakfast doesn't usually include baked beans and black pudding. The English breakfast was good, but we didn't care for the black pudding. The mini pastries were the highlight for us.

We had trouble understanding our server and had to ask him to repeat what he said several times. I stopped by the ladies restroom and couldn't stop admiring the pretty wallpaper and decor. Very girly girl and totally my style.

Food:  a great place to get the classic English food, like The Ivy Shepherd's Pie (slow-braised lamb and beef with cheddar mash, rosemary and red wine sauce) and Traditional Fish & Chips (North Sea cod in The Ivy 1917 batter with mushy peas, thick cut chips and tartare sauce)

Service:  great, timely service

Design:  interiors is in a traditional Victorian setting with beautiful windows and interior plants to soften the dark oak stained woods

Overall:  if you want an amazing English experience with great classic or updated English food in a beautiful old Victorian setting, then this is a MUST TRY

Nice location in Covent Garden with lots of shopping and atmosphere. We went for Xmas dinner but ended up getting other smaller dishes. The food was delish, especially the Shep Pie, broccoli, cheese soufflé and other sides. They were slow with my drink but they remedied it in the end. Highly recommend :)

The Ivy is a staple restaurant in Europe and after frequenting a few of their locations, we finally made it to this location near/in Covent Gardens. This location is in an active shopping area and nearby the local theaters so it made for the perfect dinner pit stop before a play.

As others noted, the night we came the service was pretty rough but then the food was absolutely fabulous! The service would have been a 2.5 stars BUT the food was so good I have to bump it up as this was truly one of my best meals and cocktail combo in London.

Pro tip: make a reservation because the Ivy always seems to be packed. Having a reservation we were seated immediately but it was interesting to see how many people were turned away or given extreme wait times. So definitely make that reservation, you'll be happier for it.

The decor and style of the restaurant is super fun and trendy. I get why it's so busy as it's Instagram worthy with pops of color and fun decor, but also classy and a nice spot to dine for any age. 

Our drinks and food were wonderful, a total 5/5 when it comes to the menu and taste. I love their cocktails here and this time I tried their summer special, the watermelon spritz. Drink was mega refreshing and a nice change from a traditional spritz.

For food started with the fried zucchini strips. Needed some salt but otherwise it was a fun shareable appetizer served with a good yogurt pink sauce.

My meal I had the steak tartare and it was the best one I've ever had. Nice little kick of spice but perfectly cold as any raw protein dish should be. It was fabulous and now I'll have to order this every time I come. Pricing was justified by the great drinks and meal.

The service was super rough when we came though and is what had to keep me from giving them 5 stars. Our server was friendly, I can acknowledge that. He was all smiles and did seem to try to do his best to manage a lot of tables, but also there were just too many misses. Long story short he forgot about our meal and the kitchen didn't seem to make the dishes. We noticed every table around us getting their mains before us. Our server was hard to get ahold of to flag down about it, but we were also trying not to be pushy. Seemed like our waiter noticed once it was a bit too late as he came over and apologized (not really clarifying what happened) but saying our food would be out in a few moments. Ironic that out of all the tables we were served last given we had two non-cooked dishes, one salad and one raw steak dish. Should have been super easy. Anyways, our mains came an hour into us sitting down and it was a bummer as we had to rush as to not be late to our show. Then on top of it he brought us the wrong check as we were already rushed from all the issues beforehand.

Service could really use some training and improvement as I was reading common themes. This place might just be too busy for the amount of staff they have. This will continue to lead to poorer service. I will say 4 stars is generous given the experience but the food and cocktails were really just that good.

5 stars across the board.  Food, service, drinks... it has it all.  We were blown away at the ambiance and the quality of food and service.  Sitting at the bar, our bartenders took amazing care of us and we never wanted for a thing.  Great conversation and care.  Burrata, Burrata, Burrata.  Can't say it enough.  Come for that and enjoy everything else. 

Would come back here in a heartbeat.

I wish I could give a better review, but unfortunately after a pleasant greeting by the host and hostess it started to go down hill. 

After going to the restroom (which was extremely clean) walking up the stairs I saw a mouse climbing up the stairs to the main area. 

I was completely flustered. I ran and told my boyfriend who explained that it happens in the city. I just wouldn't expect to ever see a mouse in the running up the stairs. 

My boyfriend told the host and hostess and they were surprised and apologized, but that was it. Nothing from management and it was all very odd.  No one seemed as surprised as me. 

We were sat down at a nice table in the main area. Our server arrived quickly, but then was very slow after. I do understand that they have been short staffed so it's understandable. 

They ran out of bread, but that wasn't really the end for us, although our server who was presenting wines was polite our first choice was unavailable. My boyfriend chose another white wine which was 3rd from the bottom and he returned showed the wine (similar in name) but a red. At that point we were just over it, the wine was nice (not what we ordered). 

The restaurant was definitely clearing out, our plates were cleared but then it then took about another 20-30 min for us to get the check and that was after we asked a manager. 

Regarding the food, the scallops were very nice. Cooked well and very flavorful. The filet was extremely tender and flavorful as well.

My sister and I had lunch here and it was phenomenal! We shared the truffle aranchinis and sourdough, and ordered fish and chips and truffle chicken Milanese for mains. 10/10. Camilla was our waitress and she was attentive and so nice.

Great Full English Breakfast. Lovely location. Very good service. Will look to rebook the next time we're in London.
