The office canteen usually only rates slightly higher than hospital food on the hierarchy of tastiness. Most are on a par with schools, serving up the kind of artery hardening slop that would make Jamie Oliver cry his organic, low fat tears.


 Not so ITV. Their programming may be aimed at the average pizza gobbling couch potato, but their food is a cut above.


 The canteen is well stocked with a variety of meals - changing on a daily basis - that, if served by a man with distinctly trendy stubble on a slab of granite, rather than a plate could give the average gastropub a run for its money. It's not all basics either - the fish dishes are particularly good, and portions not to be sniffed at. After all, if you've got a tough day ahead commissioning a show with Peaches Geldof - you're going to need a hearty meal.


 Lets talk coffee. Not much would be done in any job if your average office drone isn't well fueled with caffeine, and ITV knows this. Hence, there are two Starbucks coffee machines that are completely free to use. Free Starbucks - whenever you want it. Well, almost - the machines are pretty popular (It's FREE) so expect a bit of a queue.


 The only other problem is how you get in to this canteen without going through the rigorous process of getting a lovely media job. (nepotism and sexual favours probably) We suggest you find someone who works there and tag along.


 That or become a reality TV star. Might involve selling your soul - but hey - free coffee!
