Worst meal we had in London. Overpriced 
I ordered the pasta with lobster and I got a heap of overcooked pasta with a Dolmio style flavorless sauce, and a few pieces of lobster, including the shell 

We've heard from other people here to say this is a tourist trap to be avoided and the ratings speak for them

We had taken a little trip out to Battersea to check out the area. After a good bit of wandering aimlessly, turns out we were hungry!!!!

We perused the area for the ultimate dining spot to suit our palate. Ultimately we landed on Fiume due to a myriad of reasons including menu, wait time, and a really nice coat rack.

For the record, we made the right choice! Food was fresh and delicious! Staff was super accommodating answering all the questions we had regarding the menu.

Don't hesitate to pop in and use the coat rack next time you're in the area!

We had the most delicious dinner at Fiume. First of all, our waitress / hostess Hannah was a delight. Warm and welcoming. Second of all, there is a secret gluten free menu. They had gluten free bruschetta and gluten free pasta! We had the cacio and Pepe and it was delicious. My final course was the 43 day aged steak and holy moly was it perfect. Really enjoyed the meal, the pacing, and the service.

This place is my jam. Great date spot and just an overall beautiful restaurant. When you walk in the first thing you notice is the eclectic art wall and an open kitchen concept which flows into the dining area overlooking the Thames. 

My overindulgent/typical dishes:
Old Fashioned
'Nduja Meatballs
Lamb Ragu
Seafood Fregola (best I've found in London)
Calabarese Pizza

A couple of folks mentioned bad service which surprised me. While I've never had a painstakingly slow experience like they have, the service is definitely more Italian than American.

OVERPRICED. Ridiculously small portions. The wine selection offers mediocre wines, the recommended bottle was like stale vinegar. The food was not very tasty, the dishes have no creativity or flavour consistency. The venue is very noisy. Tables are super close to each to make sure that a drunk, screaming table neighbour will ruin your night. There is no proper host at the door and the table reservation was honoured late even when the place wasn't full and we arrived early. 
Conclusion: never again.

Honestly speaking I have never, I mean never endured such a horrible time in a while. 
Where to begin, right on arrival there is no one there to welcome you in. After hovering around for a while we decided to get ourselves a table. It took another 25 minutes before my partner lost it and got up to ask for a menu and some water. The waiters are just roaming around, clad in their sleek apparel, arranging and rearranging table settings, and avoiding eye contact at all costs! The one and only lady seemed to be having a hard day, she was so cold and miserable. My partner asked her if she was ok when we finally flagged her down for a glass of water. All she could say was,' yes I'm fine'
The restaurant was empty inside, yet there wasn't a single waiter outside to serve the guests.a table next to ours turned over to us to remark just how bad service was. We were all in hysterics at how surreal the whole experience was. We decided to just settle for a glass of wine and a rather soggy and oily bowl of calamari before we decided to get the hell out of there and find a decent restaurant elsewhere for dinner. Stay away, I give it 6 months top. They have no clue, the food, the service was just shocking!

We had walked by Fiume while checking out the waterfront and decided to give it a try. It was definitely worth it and we had a great meal. The setting is great with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the river. We started with a bursts appetiser and a pizza. For our mains we had the eggplant parmesan and mushroom lasagna, the lasagna was amazing. We will definitely go back as there were many other items on the menu that we would like to try. In addition the service was excellent.

I love Fiume! Gaetano is a wonderful waiter. We had a very enjoyable time here. And the food is outstanding. The location is fantastic!
