Beautiful establishment but food was horrible. No flavor and low quality. Food looks good in the photo but its not.

The buttermilk fried chicken appetizers was practically small chicken nuggets. Not what comes to mind when you read fried chicken. 

We all ordered the open "posh" kebabs. 
Chicken, lamb, and halloumi. Chicken had a horrible seasoning and all bad cuts of meat. Lamb was practically burnt and was more of a shredded texture. Holloumi was like plastic. 

All dishes came with more slaw then meat. The hummus was very spicy and an over abundance of spread. Bread was dry. 

Ordered some fresh juices. The strawberry mint was tasty! As for the pineapple, apple, and mint it was practically all foam and no pineapple taste.

Service fee included. After you put your order in the server didn't check on us on all. We all left hungry and frustrated after spending so much on a bad dining experience.

Everything was absolutely horrible. The food was sub par at best would not recommend it to anyone. The service was terrible because they poured wine down my son's head and down his shirt.

Food was good but we got little to no service. When we were seated two glasses spilled(not a big deal) then our waitress didn't come back to our table ever again. Had to ask twice for attention then realized we had to leave before we could eat due to prior engagement. We arrived and were seated 2 hrs before we had to leave. Beautiful restaurant, just wish we got better service

A friend recommended this place a few months ago. Went in after having my morning walk on the river bank for breakfast. The place just opened and the staff were putting the freshly baked pastries on display. The place is spacious with a lovely ambiance. I had a blueberry smoothie and egg royale with a side of grilled halloumi. The food was tasty.

We went to Megan's on a Saturday around noon. The place has nice outdoor seating, like the other restaurants nearby. When we went to get seated, the guy who was supposed to be seating people was busy helping some lady pay her bill because the server never returned to take her payment. Once that was finished, he was able to seat us outside. To one side were two girls, and the other a group of five. The server came around and took the order from the two girls first. Then he took ours, and the five. We ordered a tea, a latte, and the Greek Panzanella Salad and Mezze Bowl, and a side of fries (chips). 

After a brief time, a girl arrived with a Mezze Bowl and some sweet potato fries and set it down. Before she left we told her we had regular fries. She takes the sweet potato ones to get some regular ones. 

While she was away, we get the idea that it might be someone else's meal she brought. After all, it arrived quick and didn't have my food. When she returned with the fries, we try to explain our theory to her. She looks at me with a blank face, shrugs her shoulders and walked away. 

My wife had eaten a decent portion of her food when the same girl returned with two salad bowls and some fries. Obviously, the actual order we had placed. The best part was how she went to set it down, as if that was the way it was supposed to be. If we had said nothing, we could have had an extra salad and extra fries. 

"See, this is what I was trying to tell you. That first salad was supposed to go to someone else."

She responded in the same way as before, with an expressionless look of incomprehension. We also asked for some catsup, which we would never get. Taking the Mezze Bowl and fries, she went inside to return a minute later and set them on the table with the two girls. They explain the fries were supposed to be sweet potato. She the girl takes the fries away, to never return with the correct ones. 

Around halfway through our meals, maybe longer, our drinks arrived. Over at the table of five, we over hear one person saying that 'again' they didn't want chocolate sprinkles. It sounded like she ordered a mocha or something with chocolate sprinkles. They brought her one with sprinkles. She said something, they took it back, and brought her another with sprinkles.

At the table of two, one girl had to get up, walk around, to get someones attention to get them to bring the correct fries, and ask about their drinks. 

Around the time we were leaving, and flagging down the server for the check, they received their drinks. 

My favorite part was when the server brought the check with a service charge already included, he apologised for the issues. 

If I were rating this place on the food, they would receive a decent rating. Which is why I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1. We liked the food. But the service was awful. The place was busy, but not that busy, and there were plenty of people working to cover the number of patrons. The people working must have all passed around the peace pipe before starting the shift that day. 

To the management, you need to do more than just hire bodies. You need to make sure they understand how to do the job and if they don't train them, how to do it.

The good:
- Scenery - both in terms of the place and the people in it
- Dogs - I love dogs, and they seem to too
- Some of the food - hummus, avocado dishes, pita, bread, shakshouka all above average

The not-so-good:
- Service - if not there with friends chatting, taking our time this would have been much more of an issue, but service was absent most of the time and disinterested once they rolled on by
- Prices - OK I don't expect a 20 plate Turkish breakfast spread for £5 like it's Gaziantep but £29 was steeeep for what you get.  Other items similarly inflated.
- Some of the food - found the pastries overall lacking and the "Turkish Brunch Fondue" (mihlama) way off.  Not bad, but it ain't mihlama...maybe that's why they didn't call it that though?

Overall it's great for the crowd who likely doesn't care about the authenticity of a Black Sea-specialty item anyway, nor the prices, nor the slow service if there with the gals for Sunday brunch.  So who am I to judge?

Went to Megan's for a late lunch. There is an option to sit inside or outside and you can order take away as well. I had the lamb kebob and the halloumi fries, the flavors were pretty good! Would recommend! Dog friendly as well.

We went to Megan's for Saturday Brunch, ordered eggs benedict and a Megan's brunch which came very fast.  Both were very tasty, but what we liked even more, was the beautiful setting of the restaurant, by the river, and the friendly staff who made our experience particularly pleasant (thank you Anette and Francesca!).
Highly recommended for romantic occasions, a great time with friends or a read on one's own.
