Stoped off here with the dog after walking around Hoveringham.  We had the 2 courses for £25 which was super tasty and great value!  Also had the pork belly starter and cherry brownie, all lovely.

Overall a great place to eat.. super dog friendly and great food.

Lovely Sunday roast at The Reindeer. Very friendly staff and cosy setting.
Had the ultimate roast and the pork belly was excellent. Sticky toffee pudding was also very tasty.
Only downside we felt the meat portions were a bit small (even on the single portion).
We'll be back for pie or burger night I'm sure.

Lovely Experience at The Reindeer Pub

We had a wonderful visit to The Reindeer Pub in Hoveringham. The village itself is pretty and quaint, setting the perfect scene for a relaxing meal. There’s free parking on-site, which was a great convenience.

The pub’s decor is warm and cosy, with natural tones, checks, and soft sheepskins creating a welcoming atmosphere. We dined on a quiet Thursday afternoon and were the only ones there, but that didn’t take away from the experience. The food was superb—just what we were looking for. We had the fish and chips and the house cheeseburger, both cooked perfectly and beautifully presented.

Our host (we didn’t catch his name) was friendly, attentive, and charming, making us feel very welcome. We enjoyed a lovely glass of wine, and overall, the meal was excellent value for money. If you’re in the area, The Reindeer Pub is definitely worth a stop. Highly recommended!

A very cozy pub in an inviting village. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the menu has a lot to offer, I visited the restaurant for dinner but does offer great lunch options as well. Highly recommend the camembert starter. Would definitely go back again!

Went on Burns Night, 25th Jan.   whilst I appreciate they were fairly busy no one came to check us in for a while,  we were stood wondering if we were waiting in the right area, as briefly indicated by the bar staff.   We ordered and then half an hour later had to ask where our order was as other people coming in after us were being served  their food. The food was okay,  but the only veg with the venison pie was Kale and mash,  a bit of carrot for colour would have helped,  and the pie could have been any red meat, not very good for £18.    The salmon was very good,  fish and chips okay.  The highlight of the meal was the deep fried Mars Bar, which we ordered as we were intrigued !  No white Zinfandel on the drinks menu and the recommended alternative was nothing like it.   All in all, for a special night out, it was acceptable,  but we won’t be back.
