Mind-bogglingly good food - the best meal I have had in years.  Some places do an awesome steak.  Some places do lovely desserts.  Some do a reliable scotch egg.  Some specialise in cocktails.  This meal was outstanding from start to finish.  The taste of things was just somehow that step above a lot of the solidly good places I've eaten over the last few years.  Wow.

Loved the food and hospitality! So beautifully put together and smily staff, checking on us that we are happy with the food and the food was so artistically presented. Great atmosphere, highly recommended it and especially that the name is to show the connection with Aghata Christie.

Had a great lunch here yesterday. Charming service, cosy interior and a delicious meal. Especially liked the extra choice for vegetarians, although I am not one myself.

The starters were particularly good - the scotch egg (a speciality) was mouth-wateringly good. I think the Confit Beetroot was the best main course we had. The chef knows his stuff.

Great choices and decent portions.
Visited with my daughter. We had three small plates and two side dishes. We didn’t quite finish the main courses as we had to have dessert!
Special mention for the octopus, a very hard dish to cook, as it’s very easy to overcook.
Each dish was delicious and really enjoyed them.
Dessert was a really nice blackberry parfait.
It’s not budget food if you have a decent amount, but you pay for quality.
Really nice serving staff, good communicators.
Toilets very well appointed and clean.
Ps even on a Wednesday night it was pretty full, worth booking.

After reading the reviews on Trip Advisor, I was feeling 50/50 about visiting today, but I am so glad I did. I had the Five Little Pigs English breakfast and it was so tasty. Of course it is a pricier compared to a greasy spoon, but the ingredients are fresh and local. It was a big portion of food and I left feeling very full. If you're worried about being served right away, then I would go at off-peak hours in the morning when they open. I ordered and my food came straight away. It was not too loud and the people serving me were friendly and attentive. Definitely support visiting this local institution!
