It's lovely to explore the lower mile which does have traffic but some nice little shops. The upper pedestrian area of the Royal Mile has nice cafes and restraunts and public houses. Fabulous shops and lots of little closes to explore and right at the top Edinburgh Castle.

It was an amazing experience, i visited on a weekday and i saw lots of people visiting as well. Great views and ancient buildings and sights all around.
The highlight of it was standing outside, up high looking at the whole of Edinburgh.

I fell deeply in love with Edinburgh while walking on this street. It has lots of shops for clothes, restaurants, cafes, souvenirs shops etc! But unlike any other street with shops on it, it’ll just amaze you with the beauty of it, and the serene peace in the ambiance which you will feel while walking towards Edinburgh castle! It’s a whole different vibe which is unmatched and unlike any other place in the world.
