Whenever we come to Jersey we make a point of visiting Mark Jordan's for a great meal experience.

This time, it let us down badly when we booked for a birthday dinner.

The food was as good as ever but that is only part of the meal experience.

We were given table 15 which must be the worst table in the restaurant. Only 7 tables were used that evening so there was no need to use 15.  One of the two seats is beside a solid wall and elbow room is restricted by a fire extinguisher, see the picture.  This should be the last table to be used!

The atmosphere was soules and the staff were aloof and made no attempt to engage.

Overall a great disappointment and an experience we will not choose to risk again

Thank you for a memorable evening. The food was delicious. The service very professional and friendly. The mackerel starter was my favourite. Would definitely recommend. Ten out of ten! So pleased we managed to get a table so last minute.

The food was amazing. I had the scallops to start followed by the loin of brill. My dining companion had the oysters followed by the loin of cod. There was nothing I could fault about the food or the service.

I have only given this place 4 stars as I feel it was lacking a few finer points. For example the menu was on a piece of laminated paper and there was no table decoration. I know it's only a minor thing but when you are paying a high end price you expect a high end service. It still won't put me off from returning or recommending to others.
