Superb location for a New Year's Eve reunion. The food was outstanding but the service was exceptional. All of the staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable.

Beautiful pub with good food, well placed in a tranquil location near to some really nice walking routes.
Our room was really well done and spacious. The only small let down was the breakfast arrangements - you have to book a 15 minute slot to arrive in and so kind of kills your flexibility in the morning. Amazing breakfast though

Excellent hotel and restaurant. We had a deluxe double, well worth the extra. Spacious, warm, and a lovely bed, needed better pillows, though. The room overlooked a beautiful landscape.
Dinner was great. We both had the cheese souffle, delicate and delicious. Followed by Plaice in butter with brown shrimp and samphire. Dessert needed to be reordered. We had an apple tart with caramel and orange ice cream. Good wine list, we stayed on Procecco for the night. Service was polite, friendly, and efficient.
Lovely breakfast, smoked salmon, and scrambled eggs delicious.

The food was excellent but unfortunately I probably visited on a bad day due to the weather because the service was poor and the cask ale had spent too long in the barrel. I prefer to leave my own tip because it would not have been as much as was included in the bill.

Have stayed quiet a few times and it's perfect very friendly staff and amazing food to match.
And choice on the menu is great a wide variety and wine menu too.
The bar and restaurant is lovely with a conservatory for dining too looks the part amazing view whilst enjoying great food.
The Welnut  Rooms are beautiful  designed perfectly to enjoy your stay...
Would definitely recommend this lovely place either for lunch, dinner
or stay 😊
