I recently dined at that Michelin-starred restaurant offering an eight-course menu.

Every dish was delicious, though the portions felt a bit large for such fine dining.

I especially enjoyed the wild mushroom tartlet, the perfectly cooked partridge, and the fig-mascarpone dessert, which was wonderfully balanced. The meal ended with an impressive cheese cart featuring local selections.

The wine list was superb, with an excellent selection of wines by the glass.

Loved it, Had the 8 course menu and each one was better than the last, also a cheese course, very relaxed and calm atmosphere, can’t wait to go again. The wine pairings were spot on too , they even do a non alcoholic wine pairing if you are driving 👌

We had an outstanding 8 course taster menu with added white truffle (delicious) and cheeseboard (lots of choice).
From the moment we arrived we were met with incredibly efficient service and a super quiet yet comfortable atmosphere.
The dishes were served at perfect temperatures with neither delay nor haste. The hot mushroom 'tea' to start was very tasty and every plate afterwards delivered new flavours, textures and surprises. We thoroughly enjoyed every one.
The wine menu is extensive with plenty of alternatives and we were even treated to sample a new cocktail..name to be confirmed...
We appreciated the attention to detail and the personal way in which our food was cooked, served and explained by the small number of staff, including the chefs. The family connections only added to the personable experience and there was plenty of food.
My partner even proposed between the cheese board and the first dessert. I had to agree if only to make sure we had another chance to go back for our anniversary! Thank you all at Home for an unforgettable evening.

Don't be fooled by the understated ambience of this little gem of a restaurant as what you will experience once sat down is nothing short of the most exceptional gastronomic journey you could ever imagine.

On arrival we were warmly greeted by the waiting staff and shown to our table. The restaurant is small but wonderfully intimate - further enhanced by the close proximity to the open-plan kitchen where you can watch every plate of food being prepared. The service throughout our meal was spot on - attentive without being stuffy and overly formal.

We ordered the surprise 8 course tasting menu - both of us are vegetarian and James was more than happy to cater for this. Each course was immaculately presented without being pretentious and beautifully described to us. More importantly every dish was exquisitely flavoured. James managed to balance richness and depth of flavour whilst still achieving an incredible lightness to his food. The produce (seasonal of course) was treated with respect and techniques were applied intelligently to achieve the optimum flavour. It's hard to pick a favourite dish as every one was a stand-out in its own right but if I was forced to pick I would say these three were highlights: carrot and tarragon; pumpkin and goats cheese; parsnip and beetroot. The quality of the wine was also superb.

Perhaps what made this eating experience truly special was the fact that James and daughter Georgia serve much of the food themselves and it was such a privilege to talk to them about their passion for what they do. This is not a cheap meal out by any stretch but if you are looking for a truly unforgettable restaurant experience that will be the highlight of your year then this most definitely will tick that box!
